Evening, Lodge. Got word today that our company is giving $100 to those who get vaxxed by end of Aug. And before you say anything (which I almost did), those who are already vaxxed get the $100 by showing proof. Whew. So I get $100. Yayz!

Nothing like starting off the morning with an internet outage! I was all set to get started early with work and couldn't get online. It got to a point that I was getting ready to bring my laptop over to the Starbucks across the street to work for the morning but then realized if my internet was out, there's probably was as well. Thankfully it came back online 20 minutes later. I'm still playing catch up, though.

ETA: ANOTHER outage, this one started at 11:18am and didn't come back till 1:45-ish. What a tremendous pain. Now I'm going to have to change my full vacation day to a i/2 day vacation day tomorrow.

Good Morning, Lodge!

Baby wore Black is 1 today! How the time flew. We have having a get together at our place. It will be good seeing people again and showing off the baby.

Kick butt!

Good morning Lodge.

I did pretty good job!

Did my daily morning walk to day at 6:15-ish. When I got back to my building, saw a fire truck outside. Thought it might have been a fire alarm. It wasn't. Walked into the building, saw the firemen talking to the folks in one of the units down the hall. Didn't think anything of it. Later this afternoon, I was copied on an email from my friend that leaves three floors above me to the management company. She was walking on the second floor, saw a sticker on one of the units that said it was condemned by the Board of Health, what was up. Management company said it was bad water damage.

At 6:30 tonight, I looked outside my window, saw these two vans parked by our pool gate and the pool gate was propped open. I texted one of the trustees asking what was up because if you're having work done, it has to be done by a certain time and there was no one down there going in and out. He immediately texted back to leave the gate open, go check out the same unit on four floors. He said when those vans left I could close the gate. My friend three floors above me called to tell me the guy that lived in the unit on the fourth floor is a total whack job. Got naked and turned on every faucet in his apartment and let them all run and flooded his place. The firemen went up there, wound up having to call the police. They went in and found guns and ammunition. Greeeeeaaaaat. All four of the units are now condemned. What the ever loving fuck???

Also, the company that was here with two vans left around 7:30 and left the pool gate wide open, the sliding door from the workout room to the pool area, and the LOCKED door to the workout room all open. Who leaves somewhere without shutting the door behind them?? I need to move.

That went downhill quickly. Dang. Hope you find a good place, Scarlet, especially in this market right now. Although, I think I can say that given your No BS attitude, you will.

Evening, Lodge. Week One of post-coworker leaving hasn't been as bad as I thought it'd be. Main building is throwing me help off the get-go, so I can roll like normal in the afternoon (as was usual). They are definitely taking a pro-active approach, instead of reactive, and I hope it is finally drilled into their head that THAT is the correct approach. What I'm really curious about, is when I'm on PTO for a week+ in a month...how bad is THAT gonna be. :D
