Pokemon GO: Valor, Mystic or Instinct?

Re: Pokemon GO: Valor, Mystic or Instinct?

How could the developers not take the time to program their app so these things could only appear within public locations? Someone's going to end up suing Nintendo and all associated with the application. While some businesses welcome these players into their stores, there have to be some who don't like having their locations being effectively blocked by people uninterested in what they're selling.

On Dale St. in St. Paul there's a soft serve ice cream shop, similar to DQ; my brother's mother-in-law took a photo and posted it to Facebook. The place was filled with about 60 people, surrounding what's effectively a shack of a location. She mentioned that nobody there was actually buying anything. The shop's owners couldn't have been pleased with that.

It doesn't seem hard for a lawyer to get ahold of a situation like that and make a case for lost revenue. It's only a matter of time before that happens. We're already seeing business using Pokemon lures to draw people in, so Ingress/Nintendo has to be aware of the opposite side of that coin.

Re: Pokemon GO: Valor, Mystic or Instinct?

I'm pretty sure the game of Pokemon Go cannot be played any worse than I played it today.

I went to the big Facebook shindig in Denver. The servers were down for the first hour. Meh, at least there were a ton of people there and we all got a chance to socialize some. Then I had a level ??? Snorlax break out of a Great Ball twice and run away. (The level ??? from what I'm told means this Pokemon is stronger than anything else in your collection.) I start running low on balls and everyone has scattered, so I decide to call it a day and head back to the car. On the way I run into a farking level ??? Pinsir. It too breaks out of two Great Balls and runs away.

Now normally I'd laugh those off too...and then I get back to the car and there's a $50 parking ticket. Go to TwitchCON 2, everyone.

We had a saying in Ingress about "winning at Ingress." That is to say the outcomes of the game itself are immaterial. If you got your butt off the couch, got some exercise, discovered some new places you otherwise wouldn't have known about, met new people, made a friend, had a beer, whatever...that's winning at Ingress. With that in mind...I think I just lost at Pokemon Go.

90% sure this is legit, haven't seen it debunked anywhere...

You can choose what you get when you evolve an Eevee by renaming it. Name it Sparky for a Jolteon, Rainer for a Vaporeon, or Pyro for a Flareon.

I used this to get Vaporeon last night.

I have read that you can't use this trick to get them back to back or in quick succession.

So sick of not being able to login due to being on a Pokemon Trainer Account and not logging in through google. Literally three straight days I haven't been able to sign in for most of the day.

Lapras (10km), Eggsecute (5km), and Psyduck (5km) all hatched this morning on the way to work.

Re: Pokemon GO: Valor, Mystic or Instinct?

Sending me downtown for training was a terrific idea!

Avenged my Sunday by catching a 961 CP Rhydon at lunch.

No, according to the post I saw on Facebook, it's all a plot by Japan to invade us. See, it stands for Pokemon G(lobal) O(peration), and they'll use it to track everyone's movement. It makes perfect sense that they would include an acronym for their plan in the name of the product, and that the name of their plan would be in English.

An extended family member, 14 years old, was just killed after being hit by a car while riding his bike across the street a few nights ago. Word is he was chasing one of these gawdam things. F- this game and everything about it.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss but I don't understand how people can blame a game in these instances. It's on human beings to be aware of their surroundings. They are the ones making the cognitive decision to not only play the game in the first place, but also place the game in what could become a dangerous environment. How is that the game's fault? People get in car crashes everyday from texting/talking on their cell phone while driving. Once again, another choice people are making. Should we get rid of all cell phones period?

And that anyone cares about the movements of a bunch of millennials, pre-teens and teens.

These South Park episodes write themselves.

Japan launch delayed. Apparently word got out that every McDonald's in Japan is going to be a gym and there was a panic.

Update available for both iOS and Android and it takes care of..."minor text fixes." Yeah.
