Playoffs

Geneseo adds an empty netter to beat Oswego 6-1 for their fourth consecutive SUNYAC championship and fifth out of the past six. The Ice Knoghts now wait till Monday morning to find out who, when, and where they play next.

Babson defeats Skidmore… it seems the Pool C teams should be St. Norbert, Hobart, and Augsburg or Elmira…

St Olaf finishes off the upset, bursting somebody's bubble on their way.

UWEC upsets UWSP, but with no auto bid on the line, both teams see their seasons come to an end.

This looks pretty simple to me...

Elmira at Hobart winner to Adrian
St. Olaf at St. Norbert winner to Augsburg
Nescac winner at Babson winner to Geneseo
Plymouth State at UNE winner to Utica

Geneseo’s Henry Cleghorn scores a soft goal at 17:29 of the third to take a 5-1 lead over Oswego.

Geneseo has scored two goals recently where goalies have tried to reach across their bodies to catch a slow moving puck and missed. That's goaltending 101 stuff. BTW: Petizian is clearly not happy not being chosen 3rd team All-SUNYAC. I can understand why when you look at his performance in big games, including opposite Kozikoski. On the other hand, I can understand the league giving the nod to a guy who doesn't have as much offense in front of him.

I’ve always had a lot of respect for Babson. If it’s not Norwich then I’m pretty happy seeing Babson take it.

I agree. We've had a tremendous long-standing rivalry with Babson. Almost every year the two seem to meet each other in the playoffs at some point.

Coach Rice has always been very kind with me in our pre-game chats and my responsibilities.

Well, apparently Olaf is in at #44 PW.

Feel free, anyone, to explain why that makes a scintilla of sense.

Stupid **** AQ's, is what it amounts to.

Take a look at what St. Olaf has done since mid January. They’re playing great hockey right now and deserve to be in the NCAA Tournament. Having conference tournament champions get into the ncaa tournament helps promote parity in Division III and gives every program a reason to field a team.

If it was only determined by the top 12 teams via the pairwise with no conference tournament champions, people would only want to play hockey for 20 Division III teams.
