Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

That was in reference to Taco Rob saying that Plattsburgh started the 2nd semester the way they finished the first. I don't know how anyone could say that was the case. Also, I would not and did not argue that Plattsburgh shouldn't be at top 5 team. I thought they should be top 3 even.

Also, after Oswego's regular season finale loss last season to Potsdam, I certainly would not have rated the Lakers in the top 5 despite my green and gold colored glasses.

When those decals get ready, send me a link. ;)

I figured thats what you meant, but it could be seen as the other way also...

Norwich rallies to beat Cardinals (Plattsburgh Press-Republican article from 1/6/10)

"It's disappointing because I can't stand to lose when guys don't get bodies and pucks to the net," said Plattsburgh State head coach Bob Emery. "We didn't do that tonight.

"It's also a combination of some older guys who haven't played well — on defense and at forward. Especially against the good teams. Some of those guys didn't even play well this past weekend when we won two games."

"We didn't play well at all in the second period," Emery said. "We can't play catch-up on the road like that."

"Norwich did a good job, especially with the 3-1 lead," Emery said. "They did a good job taking time off the clock.

"We learned more about our team tonight."

Neither of them are classy. Both are hilarious, but not classy.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Ours went to Team Mini.

Got 500 sold yet?;)

You'll be lucky to see 50 at the AWAY game....when Oswego has to come to Plattsburgh for the SUNYAC finals in March...that might be a different story...:D

Either way...it still beats tennis balls and bagels...

Any thoughts on Coaches remark about the veterans not playing up to potential both at Norwich and over the weekend .

I honestly don't think I saw any of the Cardinals playing up to potential, except maybe Ryan Williams... and he allowed 4 goals because the defense in front of him fell apart each of those 4 times.

As an Elmira fan, I can say that I'm scared for the Soaring Eagles: the Cards are going to head out to the Domes and look to make a statement, because they just got embarrassed last night.:(

As a Plattsburgh fan, which I am and will always be first and foremost, I can say that I'm going to enjoy watching them make that statement on the ice. :D

Actually, I should have said "Our classic is less disgusting than your classic." But now we're getting onto that slippery slope...

Over the weekend however we were flawless against grade B competition.

My opinion is coach is looking for more results(effort is there) from Dylan Clark and Eric Satim and I think Bob is pressing them and both are gripping the stick a little too tight as a result.

Their statistics are good but not just not great and we need someone to be great in the big games

Your kidding right? Can't win scoring one goal. Compiling points against patsies is not clutch. Weekend was a joke. Norwich got the matchups they wanted. Platty outplayed them in first period. There big guns produced, Platty's did not. Was really a 2 1 game third goal should have been disallowed and the 4th was a fluke. What really matters is what comes at the end not now. Just ask Neumann.

I'll agree that the fourth was a lucky bounce in Norwich's favor, but I was right on the goal line looking from WIlliams' right side for the thrid goal. I am a Plattsburgh fan, and I still found it laughable that they were arguing that he batted it in. Williams mishandled it, deflecting it straight up, and it bounced off of the Norwich Player's chest, over Williams' body, and into the goal. The officials made the correct call there.

I will also agree with you that Plattsburgh cannot play like this in February, and especially not in March, if they want to win a national championship. None of the guys played anywhere near where they played this weekend, or even back in November during the Primelink. It was an embarrassment, but you also have to realize that Norwich is the #3 team. As I said before in another thread, I think any game between the top 3 (Remy might be right, maybe it's 4) teams could go either way. They are all just THAT GOOD. And that includes Plattsburgh...

Scary part, they will continue to be....If you ask me the Freshman class of these three school have really set the bar higher for the rest of the league...

Oswego 12 Freshman, 4 Seniors
Norwich 12 Freshman, 7 Seniors
Plattsburgh 13 Freshman, 3 Seniors
