Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Anyone know what the update is on Schuelter? Has the league suspended him? and if not, what will be the in-team suspension?

I listened to behind the bench and coach Emery sounded none-to-pleased with Vic.

Well, Schlueter got a game DQ, and with it carries an automatic 1 game suspension. I would be surprised if the SUNYAC punished him any further seeing as, IIRC, they have never suspended anyone in the past longer than the 1 game for the DQ. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I do know Magagna never was suspended for the elbow drop on the back of Ward Smith's head that ended his career, so I find it difficult to think Schlueter will be suspended longer than one game.

Emery on the other hand has made it clear in the past, as well as with his comments on BTB, that Schlueter will be sitting longer than the one game. It usually carries an additional 1 game suspension by Emery, at the least.

All in all, it sounds like Rodrigues is going to be okay, which is great news. Schlueter will serve his, I'm guessing 2 game ban, and be back for next Saturday's game at Fredonia.

Who would have predicted that SUNYAC's #2 & #3 teams would be facing off in Morrisville tonight:eek:

No one!!! I hope this says alot about the Morrisville program and not on how weak the SUNYAC league is. With the win over Elmira, Potsdam and Genny, Morrisville has a nice resume with the season being early. I have yet to see Morrisville play this year. It would be great for the league to have another high quality team in it. Someone to give P'burgh and Oswego a run for their money every year.

Not convinced about SUNY this year. It looks like there is a BIG gap between Plattsburgh/Oswego and the rest of the pack.

The biggest thing about Morrisville is their goalie, I believe if he was on a team like Plattsburgh or Oswego he would be a candidate for an All American. I think he is as close to a top flight goalie in the SUNYAC as anybody.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

The SUNYAC website still shows that Morrisville is ineligible for the SUNYAC Tournament this year. For the first time since they moved up to Div III, it's a legitimate question: how long are the Mustangs ineligible for the post season?

If they are still ineligible, that's good news for the rest of SUNY: who wants to see that goaltender in a one game playoff?

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Ducky just said on the WIRY Broadcast from Buff State that Raphy Rossy "Is no longer with the team." Apparently, I missed something? Is he transferring? Obviously, he's practiced past the first game, so he's lost his year of eligibility, and it would be best for him to transfer to somewhere where he might play. My question is, when was this announced? I missed it.

I thought it was a 4 year probationary period.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

you're hearing about it as soon as the rest of us are. I know he didn't make the trip to Morrisville, but not sure if anything was mentioned in that broadcast as I was unable to listen since I was in Morrisville. a thought is that maybe he was the "ring leader" involved in the rule breaking issue???? maybe someday we'll hear what's going on, but I'm doubting it.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

Why has Docking not been in the lineup? I figured he would be a standout rookie for Platty.

Re: Plattsburgh State Hockey - 2009/2010

That's a particularly weird error in that it isn't reflected in most of the other splits on the page. You'd think a site that stores as much statistical data as USCHO would just use some XML template doohickey to draw from a central database of key game stats and automatically generate everything displayed on a team's page.

Also, it'd be kind of nice if the department would submit the logo used by the team for a decade or more to replace that very Web 1.0 Burghy.

I am thinking the 6-2-1 overall record (versus the correct 7-1-1) and consistency with a phantom away loss is the problem.

Well yeah, I just found it odd that it didn't trickle into the other splits (first scorer, lead after periods, that stuff). It obviously isn't in the system as a mistaken extra game, as all of the game totals sum up nicely, and I guess I kinda assumed it wouldn't be possible to input a game as a loss and then somehow have it switch back for the more detailed categories.

Hi,

My name is Frank Koniszewski and I am the Primelink engineer ultimately responsible for the quality of the streaming video product.

The last attempt, Plattsburgh vs. Oswego was not a success by any standard of measure.

The feedback I have received so far regarding the Primelink ShootOut has been positive EXCEPT for the last game. The video freezing and being jittery during the last game was solely my failure for not allocating enough bandwidth. I had not expected nor believed we would increase the number of concurrent connections over last years ShootOut by 100%!

I believe I have resolved any/all underlying issues.

Primelink is streaming the Plattsburgh State vs. Potsdam tonight. Please check it out at www.Primelink1.com

I would appreciate any feedback you might have regarding how the quality of the video stream of this game is.

Enjoy!!!

Regards,
Frank

Last weekend it was great, except the shootout. I am watching tonight game and it is better than the Midd game as well. The Midd game had some glitches but again I think that was the largenumber of people watching it. Tonight has been smooth so far.

Is this this going to be a regular thing for Plattsburgh's home games?

You will find this stream of a much better quality that the last attempt to stream a game from the Ronald B. Stafford Arena.

I would appreciate any and all feedback regarding the quality of this webcast.

Frank
