We need someone to check all the men's room stalls in Schneider. When you find the one with a glory hole, you've found Hokiedope's office. Please let us know where it is so we can meet him.

For those who follow ex-Friars in the NHL. Matt Taormina and Jon Rheault are still hanging in there in the Devils and Flames camps. Colin McDonald was sent down to the AHL today (despite scoring a goal last night for the Oilers in a pre-season game), and Jay Leach (Sharks) got sent down yesterday.

Here is a great write-up done on Taormina in the summer before camp started. It was on a great Devils blog - "In Lou We Trust"

Word is that he has a very good chance of starting the season with the Devils. Would be a nice story and good for the Devils as they need a puck-moving d-man. I'm really surprised with Rheault. He's a bit more of a long shot to stick, but he's hung in there this far and he keeps getting plenty of ice time in games. Regardless if both open the season with the big club, both their showings in the pre-season should make them early season call ups if needed - along with McDonald and Leach.

Hopefully DiSalvatore (Minnesota) and Wild & Schaefer (Bruins) get some time also this year in NHL. With Gill and Pisani, could be a year with a lot of ex-Friars seeing the NHL (the most in quite a while.)

despite all the negative thoughts about pc (from both here and the coach's poll...tenth place!) i'm excited for this season. i really think we'll return to the playoffs this year. i think/hope the new recruits will produce like they have been and the offense will be re-ignited. the defense is solid and pretty much everyone important is returning. beaudry is amazing. i hope this year everything clicks.

I can't wait for next month, when Hokyfraud will be ready to hoist his Annual October Championship trophy when PC wins half of their games for the year before the leaves fall off the trees. :D

And in the eyes of the coaches of Hockey East PC finishes dead last and its not even a close vote........and we have the Hockey Guy on our side

A team that finishes near the bottom of every Division 1 team in offense has got serious issues. It's great for people to be pumped about hockey coming back, but the only realistic hope for PC this year is to find a way to come in the bottom tier of the league and hope other teams are worse than they are. Beaudry may be great and all but it's the same problem every Army team has had -- can't win if you can't score. And they haven't been able to, at almost nationwide-leading levels.

Nope, just waiting for you to annually declare "this is the year!" to a fanbase you're not even a part of, then bury your head in the sand for months on end as they do the exact opposite of what you predict they will. Year in, and year out.

Or was I, and everyone else, wrong about what we said about winning in October in 2008 and 2009??

As far as "the kids" go, you make college hockey sound it's like a charity and the fans who attend are donating to them like they're Jerry's Kids or something. I actually hope this team does well this year. History and reality tell me it's unlikely to happen. Perhaps if the school did what they should have done and replaced a coach who has done nothing (disagree? please tell me why you think so) I'd have more reason for optimism.

As it is, I'm just as much of a loser as all the other coaches in this conference who doubt they're going to turn it around. Good company to be with, apparently! :p

Its a new year, time to move on.

The same geniuses you want to be in company with had MC dead last and Maine next to last for 09/10.

The point is you have said it no less than 50 tim es that they suck beyond belief, coaches are brutal and that you no longer support them. I think people got the hint.

If you are now supporting another team, go for it and move on.

Its a new year with a very strong returning group and 6 new faces. Lets see what happens and enjoy the ride. If not, its still a hockey game played by college kids.

They're a lot closer to sanity than the "genius" who has spent the last 3 seasons telling PC fans "this is the year" after six weeks of the season. :p

I understand that he's got an "office" in every HE rink. Security around the league refer to it as the "Hokyhole". :eek: :eek: :eek:

You know that he's "on the job" when you see his wide stance protruding from his cubicle. He's lurking there hoping for an "earful" so he can troll any thread and seem like an insider. :rolleyes:

This guy is the King of all Trolls. Case in point, he CONSTANTLY trolls this thread despite the fact that he's not a PC fan. He keep coming back to this thread telling others to stop posting and thinks that actual PC fans that have no right to gripe about the state of the program, despite the fact that these same fans have financially supported this team for years. Finally, he continues to call names while hiding like a coward behind the anonymity of a computer when he knows that he's too timid to talk to an adult like this face to face.

Just like the creep with no kids who keeps showing up at the playground, Hokydud trolls USCHO. Keep your eyes on your children when you attend a game this season at ANY college rink or the may fall prey to the Hokydud. As he keeps reminding us, "they are ALL good kids".

EEEEeeeeewwww, creepy. Try in you can to avoid the Candyvan!!!!:eek:

Last 10 games attendence was between 1100 to 2200 fans

You 3 or 4 not going wont matter nor will you and your karma be missed.

Lets see what attendence is after first 10 games. It will be the same....
