PC Hockey.....continues to grow

Re: PC Hockey.....continues to grow

And what was it you said Lyles would do for Lowell this year when he came from the BCHL via Boston College? Overrated a bit, eh?

maybe.. Played 30 games and was 4th for D in scoring. They ended up 2nd in Hockey East so they cant be that bad.

No ones talking about Lowell. Wait and see after the season is over, KM will be a huge part of the equation.

Re: PC Hockey.....continues to grow

Lowell fans weren't too thrilled with his play and would most likely argue that he didn't have a whole lot to do with their success this year. Still, good for Lyles to get in 30 games and I hope he can put it all together for a solid senior year.

Re: PC Hockey.....continues to grow

So here in Tampa celebrating Tournament Mode. It would be nice to see PC here in a few years. Meanwhile rooting for Rick Bennett's Dutchmen.

Re: PC Hockey.....continues to grow

Heard a bit of a buzz about Providence yesterday at the Frozen Four. Even got to shake Nate Leaman's hand and say thanks for coming to PC.

Re: Latest recruit, from north of the border...

Getting us back on the off=season thread...

From PC91:
I was wondering if anyone (Cav etc.) has any idea on what out of conference team might be coming to Schneider in the Fall or an idea on where the Friars might be visiting.

I did check the 12/13 schedules thread and didn't see the Friars listed on any schedule of opponents that I would have suspected PC might be playing next year.

I appreciate any opinions on next year's schedule.

-----------

I heard the Friars will have a weekend series at Miami of Ohio and also go to Minnesota State. Assume they will get a return home games from those teams the following years.

Re: PC Hockey.....continues to grow

Well you had a pretty good season this year, and look you're building well for the future. If this happens, it's even better news for you...

I think some people will see PC as a surprise for Gillies, but they shouldn't. Leaman's gonna go after big names & there's an opening there.

FYI - Jon Gillies is a top goalie prospect that recently decommitted from Northeastern. He's a huge prospect in a couple ways - he's 6'5", and he may be the top american goalie rated by NHL scouting. Believe he's looking for instant playing time, and with the PC's goalie's for next year having no college playing experience - he may feel he has a shot at PC to step right in. He's from Maine and has been playing in the USHL for the Indiana Ice. Remember we already have another top goalie prospect Nick Ellis coming in 2013.

This staff never stops going after the top talent.

I knew Jon Gillies when he was younger (he played with/against my brother a few times) and he's a good kid. I've heard nothing but good things about him. I hope he comes here.
