Patty Kazmaier 2026

I think what should be exciting for Penn state and Kampersal, and recruits frankly, is there is no reason the success and growth at Penn State can’t keep going.

I look forward to the post season wrap ups about who loses what talent etc.

#15 in blue is the best player in the country. Proved it yet again tonight.
Her first goal was one that a pee wee goalie would want back. Soft and McNaughton should have stopped that.

Her second was a breakaway and a nice move.

I don't remember seeing her as especially dangerous the rest of the game. Don't recall thinking... where's Janecke like I do when playing against someone like Poulin (Canada) or Murphy from Minny.

Nice player for sure but KK is one of the best in the world right now so certainly is the best in the NCAA.

Both of Laila's goals were more impressive if we're just looking at this one game. Laila seemed dangerous for a stretch there like a true difference maker can be.

If you actually knew something about hockey, you would see she has to play 200ft. D zone mostly. Giving 110% percent each shift. The conference doesn’t matter. The WCHA has two teams and you judge the conference by that.
In the WCHA teams don’t key on 1 person. I’m the AHA they do. If Harvey played there, she would have half the points and she would have to work through frustration. Look at last night. She got knocked down and then stood up and butt ended a player and didn’t get called for it. Imagine that every game. And they hack, hook, hold, and play extremely dirty hockey. Most college players would be injured every year. She has 20 top tier players on her team and she can get away with mistake plays. She’s good, buy you are judging a player without realizing what is really happening. Without Harvey, Wisconsin is still a top 3. Without Janecke, PSU never breaks the top 15. Ever.

Ok now ur hitting the crack pipe.
If Harvey played in the AHA SHE’D HAVE TRIPLE THE POINTS.

I can’t reason with stupidity. Yes with Wisconsin’s team. She wouldn’t be playing with Wisconsin though. Janecke would too, if Wisconsin’s team of players played with her in the AHA.

I do have to agree with this. I don't think many people consider Janecke's complete game - they only look at goals and assists. If she was a more selfish player she could've logged a lot more points, but Penn State wouldn't be any better for it. What she's done is make the players around her better. I'm guilty of yelling at the screen more than once when I thought she should've taken a shot when she chose instead to try setting someone else up, but that's been her game.

The argument here is that Harvey only scores as well as she does because she plays with better, more talented teammates than Janecke does?

Well first, Harvey also plays AGAINST better players through the year.

But maybe we could find a circumstance where the variables were more controlled, where they had the same teammates and played against the same opponents. Like the recent Olympics.

Janecke- seven games, zero goals, five assists.
Harvey - seven games, two goals, seven assists.

As for "200 ft game": you mean, like a DEFENDER who also scores well has to play?

smh ...

I'd like to give you credit for being a knowledgeable, credible poster, but this sentence is just silly.

I severely dislike all the physical play that's going on. It's ruining the flow of the game. I love women's hockey because of the flow of it. Seeing players getting knocked over is just ridiculous. Those all should be called penalties.

Not without the teammates she's got now she wouldn't.

Tell us again how overrated Janecke is. She put her team on her back last night, and nearly sent the Badgers home singlehandedly.

And Marianne Picard looked pretty good for a kid you told us a month ago was done playing.

Maybe one day you'll stop with these ridiculous takes, but apparently that's not today.
