This was always going to happen.

I blogged about situations like this recently. I'm a firm believer that yes, that was a hook. No, you don't call it in this situation. Hooking's a penalty that's designed to force teams to allow scoring opportunities. That hook didn't take away a scoring opportunity. Late in a tied game, leave the incidental crap out of it.

But then again, these refs needed any excuse they could find.
