This is surreal.
Seriously, it's time to bring the hammer down. We have a big red button. Use it.
Explosions at the Paris soccer stadium (Stade de France).
The big red button is useless. There's a reason nobody uses it.
Seriously, it's time to bring the hammer down. We have a big red button. Use it. Cut the head off the snake, for lack of better term. Then, close up shop to the outside world and become self-sustaining. We CAN do it, we just DON'T do it.
It's not us - right now it's the French. They have a heck of a mess on their hands. I'm curious if le response will be tepid or rabid.
Stade de France holds over 80k. Explosions were during a France-Germany match.I heard that hundreds of hostages are being held as well, at a popular night spot.

In truth, no we cannot. The minerals used in our high-tech economy simply don't exist within our bountiful lands. Surprisingly (or not), China has huge deposits of some of the rarest metals in the world, and they're needed in our devices that we use daily. Our computers would require more power and weigh more without them. I just wish I could remember the names to these metals as there are two or three of them. We've built ourselves into a foreign dependency, unless we're willing to slide back to largely 1990s tech, or making it criminal to not recycle your tech gadgets once their life cycles have ended so that we can harvest the needed materiel.Seriously, it's time to bring the hammer down. There is a leadership position somewhere. I know it's not a country, but there is a general area. F 'em at this point. We can drill through glass. (c) bbdl
Doesn't work that way. This is like fighting the Klan, if a billion people worldwide worshipped Stone Mountain. What do you nuke? Birmingham?*
If you want a satisfying military solution, go for regime change in Saudi Arabia and Anastasia the entire Saud family down to their gardners.
(* Yes, I recognize this is attractive for non-terrorism reasons.)
It's all this POS' fault, so we could use a little micro-targeted ethnic cleansing with that brood as well.

Was at the Bataclan like an hour ago during the shooting. The guy entered through the front door, probably firing like 60 rounds by clips of 30 I would say. The crowd collapsed and we were all laying on the ground.
The guy just ****ing spread on the pit, I just prayed not to get hit. People managed to get out by crawling on the stairs of the nearest exit. I just did the same, crawling over other people on the stairs like a ****ing cockroach fighting for his life.
Don't know about the performers.
