Sounds like there are "dozens" dead in Bataclan

Edit: AFP reporting that 100 dead in the concert hall alone...

This is a shot of Bataclan when it's at full capacity. My god. They say the capacity is around 1,500...

So, just an FYI. The soccer match wasn't the target. It was a bar outside the stadium. The explosions were not inside the stadium. They finished the game and people were kept inside the stadium to prevent mass chaos from all the people leaving.

Fox is reporting that grenades were thrown into the pit where the hostages were being held.

French Cabinet Announces New Security Powers in Paris Region

After a midnight cabinet meeting, the French government announced sweeping new security powers for the authorities in the Île-de-France region — Paris and its suburbs.

Effective immediately, the cabinet said the authorities would have the power to, among other things:

order the temporary closure of places of public assembly like concert halls and theaters;
impose house arrest on anyone considered dangerous;
confiscate weapons;
conduct certain kinds of searches of premises with more leeway.
