Panther Cardinal classic - Five Teams?

Re: Panther Cardinal classic - Five Teams?

Wow. Gusties fall apart. I didn't get my hopes up. Lol

It's amazing Plattsburghs ability to score in bunches. Stupid penalties by Gustavus don't help.

It's why they are the two-time defending national champions and the odds on favorite to make it three in a row...

Really stupid penalties in their offensive zone no less!!!
Hats off to the Cardinals, Coach Houle and his assistants. They did not get rattled down 2 after 2 and then they went into hyper drive.
Does anyone have info on the injured Gustavus player?

Re: Panther Cardinal classic - Five Teams?

That's awful. Hoping for a speedy and full recovery. Which game did it happen in?

Happened :25 into the 3rd period of the Gustavus-Plattsburgh game. I was on the walkway in back of the Gustavus bench and heard a crash in the near corner of the Gustavus offensive zone. I did not see the play, but in speaking with several people, a Plattsburgh player was in the corner, lost an edge and fell with the Gustavus player falling over her and crashing the boards.
I am sure there are those wishing to send cards or flowers, may we have a name of the injured player?

Kaitlyn Klein. Her dad posted a video on facebook of her walking in the hall (post-op). Now that is a hockey player.

Thanks for the update. Also found a post-op photo on Twitter. Really glad she came through ok.

Very glad to see her smiling so beautifully after such an injury/surgery! Judging by the impression I get from her photo I bet she's a person with a great attitude and personality. Here's to a full and speedy recovery!

Re: Panther Cardinal classic - Five Teams?

Can't just admit you were wrong? ;)

I said "My guess is..." Hardly a statement of or taking a stance about being right or wrong, but nice try Derek. I simply thought it was such a great idea it must have been done on purpose. Since it apparently wasn't done on purpose, it's one of the best mistakes I've heard of in a very long time. I really hope they will keep that format in the future too.

You just stick to trying to find enough money for those very expensive webcasts that a poor athletics department like Norwich's incurs if/when they want to broadcast an event live online.
