Back home from the CC. Tough loss for Plattsburgh. I thought the defense played pretty well all night, and to let up with a minute and a half left in a tied game is tough to swallow. I am still happy with the way they came out and played, as a whole. I honestly wasn't expecting a win, and was hoping for a tie. Some points...

- Oswego's defensemen didn't impress me much. With the exception of Carr, from what I noticed, when Plattsburgh would play their dump and run style, the Laker D men would let the Card forwards fly into their end untouched and unpressured.

- Plattsburgh's D played very well, until the end. I thought Adams was quite awful tonight though, and I was pleased with the way Corry played.

-I think Plattsburgh is faster than Oswego. I'm excited Musselwhite is gone

-Kudos to the Oswego students, or whoever is responsible for their noise and passion. I wish Plattsburgh had that. And also, kudos for not being jerks to us Platty fans (unlike other places I've gone, ahem Potsdam)

-Thumbs down to Timmy Hale. He was being his usual self, and he needs to communicate better with his staff.

-I can't wait to see the next meeting between these two teams. Another entertaining performance.

Agree. Great time in OZ tonight. The fans were great, students were great. Had a good time waiting in line with the students.

The game from a Plattsburgh standpoint, stunk, but from a hockey fan standpoint was a great back and forth game. Well worth the $8 admission.

You just played with one of (if not the best) team in DIII hockey for 58 minutes. A bounce of the puck here and there and who knows. Still a lot of work to do.

As I said in an earlier post. Oswego runs one of the most balanced lines in DIII hockey. They come at your with 4 equal lines. Great game.

Glad to see you before the game LoudHorns...I hope you enjoyed the game...despite the outcome for you cards. It certainly was a great game and great atmosphere...it (kind of) reminded me of the Romney days...loud, constant, consistent noise, chatter, and chants from the students (and basically everyone in the building as well). Yes, I could have done without the *ahem* [enter inappropriate word] chants that seemed all to much at times. I was a student there, I was guilty of doing some not so friendly chants but not to the extent the students were doing so tonight...despite that though, even without the few rumblings of what was being said...still a great atmosphere...I hope you had fun and enjoyed it...as well as the person who got the ticket.

On top of the Lakers/Cards game, I thought the crowd was fantastic for Potsdam as well. It helps when they play Potsdam for the Friday game and Plattsburgh for the Saturday game. I went to a Potsdam game on a Saturday a few years back, and after the Lakers had lost to the Cards, the arena was dead the second night. Potsdam was a good warm-up for the plattsburgh game, and was very encouraged by the crowd. You will always have your crazies for the Plattsburgh game. This set-up made it crazy for both nights. Only problem is that I saw a guy get thrown out for throwing his hat on Moodie's third goal on Friday. Its called a HAT TRICK. Give people a break, this is hockey.

A kid ran out onto the ice after the win last night!! it was the first time i ever saw university police SMILE at something illegal and not do anything about it. thats proof that last night had some serious magic in it. again. AMAZING win for these men. I personally believe after a performance like that, we deserve to be #1 in the country for the next poll...but Norwich...who hasn't even played a game yet...will be in first. lame. BUT! with that said. This season has a lot of the makings to return to the promised land we reached a year ago. [except this time its in Minnesota] lol

UP probably didn't give a rip - the guy has a habit of jumping around the sections nonstop and getting approval, and getting onto the ice will probably be a new highlight for his fanhood that security, although annoyed, would likely let go. Hale may very well make sure the kid never gets back in. He might have to shuck the wig and short shorts and come up with a new disguise.

Last night's favorite new feature - live coach and player interviews in between periods... great give and take between Gosek and Big Tope during the first intermission...and the post game analysis with multiple player comments and the long wrap with Gosek to end the night gave you everything you needed to know.... Time Warner made the right call to put the game on from the Northern Borders to the Southern Tier last night... The best student television production anywhere

I was sitting right next to them at the Platts game, and they are very good/professional, and have also enjoyed them at home on the computer so far, perhaps Ill make a call to Levy to do some scouting......

They are beginning to realize that. When they came up and did a game themselves a little while back they actually lost a considerable amount of money through payroll, renting equip, transporting equip etc that they didn't make back. This past weekend all they did was take the feed WTOP already sends to their office to disperse on a cable access channel and send it to the rest of their offices. Very easy for them to do, we anticipate a few more games will be picked up.

I was sitting right next to them at the Platts game, and they are very good/professional, and have also enjoyed them at home on the computer so far, perhaps Ill make a call to Levy to do some scouting......

Word on the street is Levy was watching the whiteout game and was amazed at the broadcast.

To everybody: Thanks for all the feedback, WTOP's very grateful. Obviously we're all students doing this for absolutely free so to see that we really are doing as good a job as we think we are (does that make sense?) is well received. Your complaints/suggestions are also appreciated, it allows us to see what else people want in the broadcast. We got a few of the numbers back from saturday and over 1500 people tuned into the game just online from all across the globe, over 800 of them were new viewers so we must be doing something right. Again, thanks and keep watching!

well I can't validate everyone's praises for WTOP since I was at the game and not able to watch the broadcast, I would like to take the time to thank the guys at the Oswego radio station and commend them on a great broadcast. I enjoy going to the different schools and being able to listen to their PBP broadcasts and see the general knowledge that they have obtained before the game. Oswego I believe has the best I have heard yet. and yes, that even includes Plattsburghs student radio station. Keep up the good work guys!

Excellent observation - WNYO does a great job on the radio side of things and doesn't get the consistent recognition they deserve....
