Oswego State Lakers 2024-25...young guns a'blazin....Let's Go Lakers...

Been a while for me on here but read all the time. Just like to soak it all in from everyone else. Very entertaining! I'm a Laker baseball alum from the mid to late 80's and have seen many, many Platty/Osw. games over the years. Who would have thought (on Nov. 1) it would come down to Saturday night for a date to the dance!! Just the way it should be. I'll be there on the rail as well! GO LAKERS!!

I was at the Cortland game at the Deb last week. Is it just me, or are these boys a lot smaller in size compared to my buddies from the 80's. They were bruisers and way crazy. Dave Lair was the best ever. PM was a beast between the pipes!!

As a Potsdam alum, I hated Dave Lair. LOL Yeah, in the old, small Romney, Oswego was built for brute force.

Nowadays, in all levels of hockey, it's more skill and finesse.

I am hoping the Deb will be packed with loud and proud students for both games.
Considering it's the same day as the St Patrick's Day parade don't count on a good women's crowd even with athletics offering tvs and iPads for prizes if u show. As for mens should be a sellout although last sunyac title game they all showed at like 6:59

According to a Twitter post, the men's game is almost sold out.

loved playing in Romney, dont think any team liked coming in their and getting used to that rink configuration...We only had a few 200lbers but that was the norm back then, well hell we dont have many 200lbers now either.ow well it was fun in the old barn....Lets Go Lakers!!!

On a side note. I once saw Dave Lair take the puck the length of the ice untouched against Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC finals and score! That was skill and he probable had a few smokes and a few beers earlier in the day :).
