Well I don't know if any of you Oswego fans took the venture down I-80 south last week to Cortland for your game against them, but I was there the week previous for the Utica game against them, and I could honestly say that their rink was the coldest I've ever been in. My hands were turning purple by the fist intermission. My god **** hot dog was emitting eat... I'm sure the Cooler in Geneva is worse (or so I've been told) but that was just ridiculous all night to watch a hockey game like that. It makes you appreciate we we have in Utica & Oswego.

On another note. Last weekend the powers to be voted to start the D3 men's hockey season on nov1st instead of oct 15th. Last year they also voted to include our final D3 championship game in between the D1 semis and finals.
Fortunately they decided against the later.
To start the D3 hockey season on nov 1st is not computing for me. We get to see hockey in October into November and with traveling with the team in the early fall it makes sense. The weather in the early fall is fine for the east and as fans we do not have to grind out bad drives back home at nite because of winter storms. Also now their will be more games played at home in front of less student body because of the later season.
So could someone tell me why this is better for the student athletes and the fans. Who benefits?

You can't compare something from the 70s and 80s. Maxcy used to be one of the most frigid rinks around until they finally put heat in it, which made it BEARable.

According to coach Gosek in the Pall-times yesterday he said that both Ayotte and Moodie should be good to go this weekend and that Brown's injury was not as bad as originally thought so he wouldn't count him out this weekend either. My guess would be that Brown is out vs. Brockport and in against Geneseo. We will know in about 14 hrs. but for now off to work:D

With the shifting of lines lately, I've lost rack of who is in the stands? Who have been the healthy scratches besides Berra the past couple games?

they have rotated a dman out , then badham sat a few games for what ??? not sure??brown was on crutches last game , so 1 less to sit...

Wow, Geneseo with 10 goals tonight! That is a little concerning with the sloppy play we saw tonight against Brockport. But, as we all like to say...Oswego has not been a good Friday night team this year. Hopefully Brown and Badham recover quickly, it didn't look good when Badham went off the ice and directly to the locker room tonight with a leg injury?

The boys need to attack from the beginning as if their post season lives depend upon it - because it does...you take the next two at home, then close out with BuffSt/Freddy/Pots/Platty...would like to take the short route to the SUNYAC and avoid the NCAA play-in - stay at home for the playoffs and get to make the drive to that sleepy upstate NY mountain village...

not a bad win last night, but if they play that way tonight against a streaking Genny team they WILL LOSE...passes were waaaay off and we need to get players to the front of the net on the PP,to much standing around on the PP watching the pretty passing...I liked the play of King, looks good for next yr for sure, as for Josepher,he needs to step it up, I know it was Bport but his has to get going and back into the way he was playing near the start of the season ..funny goal on hare was a knuckleballl I guess.......tonight Genny will come out jacked up after dropping 10 on Cort ,lets hope they are all scored out,Oz had better bring their A game..the difference will be goaltending I believe
