we did not really miss a beat without him, but it will be great to have him back he can put up pts and from what I see he leads by example

the Shed claims another victim .....did that to many in my day not to mention Broadwells and Bucks

If you don't miss Whitelaw, please feel free to sit him out when the Cardinals come to town!!

Considering the fact that Whitelaw has scored in six of his eight career games against the Birds, that is not going to happen.

Whitelaw is a problem for us, no doubt. But I'm confident that we can convert some more of our opportunities like we started to do against Oswego last year. The results vs. the Lakers was 1-1-1, which was disappointing for us. The Cards havee outshot Oswego in 5 of the last 7 games, yet have won only one of those. A couple times the Cards really outplayed them and outshot (38-19, 34-14) them and still lost.
I think the rationale would be the few high-end snipers the Lakers can cash in plus the Cards not having many "finishers"....but I think that has changed this year. That's why I'm expecting some wins. But we're still young and we'll know more after butting heads with Middlebury, Norwich and St. Thomas this weekend.

I am wondering if anyone got the puck for Josepher after he scored the goal.
He just might want to mount it.

Ha! At the rate they have been throwing pucks behind the Laker bench so far this year it's a wonder they have any left for the next faceoff. :D

New to this forum. Just looking at the Oswego stats and noticed that their top 10 in scoring are all Seniors. Looks like a "win-it-all or bust" season as they will have a lot of points to make up.

Dear laker fans I watched the Primelink tourny and the Cards looked very good in both games,do we think our layoff will be helpful ?? Or the fact that the cards just played 2 finalfour type games more of a advantage for them?? we have potsdam first who seems to be on and off, then the birds after they play a much improved cortland team who slugged it out with Neumann for 2 games..

There will be no problem for either team being ready on Saturday night...I think there is enough danger for each on Friday night that overlooking either Potsdam or Cortland is very, very dangerous...:eek::eek::eek:

14 Seniors on a mission vs 11 Freshmen who want to make a statement - great supporting casts on both sides - will the veterans teach the kids how to get it done? :D

Will the youngsters remind the oldtimers what it feels like to be at the start of a beauty of a rivalry?:D

We will find out Saturday...

Plattsburg definately looked good, and I think they are very good this year. The Lakers needed the break to get healthy again. I believe they must have Whitlaw at 100% to have a chance of beating Plattsburg. Plattsburg is surely a battle tested team after both games in the Primelink, as are all teams in the tournament. It's good to see Middlebury is back as well. This next few weeks wil be a good barometer for Oswego with the Plattsburg, Utica, and Hobart games, which I believe Hobart is quietly one of the top teams in the East
