EXCELLENT broadcast produced by WTOP tonight - multiple angle replays on all 12 goals and high points during the game, insightful coaches and player interviews, talent was hot and the camerawork was solid...hard to remember its 100% students...WTOP's best show since they started coverage in the Campus Center by a wide margin...
...their brothers from another mother, WNYO radio had another stellar show...game call is the best in college radio and the guys in the studio are hockey savants....Laker fans are truly blessed and spoiled by such great student media coverage...

didnt get to see the game, my 5yo always seems to want to go ice skating on nights when the Lakers are on the net
,but hey she is to cute, anyway,looks like the boys are running on all cylinders at this point,Buff st will be much harder than freddy for sure,Ok keep my seats warm ill be up there for the Platty/Pots weekend cannot wait.......

Could be their best game of the season - not only scored 10 but only took ONE penalty.

Games like last night scare me for you don't know if there is going to be the let down factor involved. I know they look at the scores and I am sure that they saw that the Cards lost. I hope they don't look past Saturdays game. It was great to see all 4 lines producing. I don't know or if anyone knows what Coach G said to the team about the penalties but they are way down after Mather stopped playing. That diffinently instilled the displine that the team needed. I thought Freddy would start playing a very chippy game after the first and I was concerned on how the Lakers would respond. They kept their Kool for the whole game especially with Hare getting bumped a couple of times. If they can play this discipline hockey it will make them that much tougher. Lets hope they can keep this play going for another 5 weeks to Placid.

A little of both. Fredonia has almost always been a team that was good with the lead. They usually start fast, get up on you (or at least keep it tied) and then lock it down. Once Oswego got ahead last night they fell apart and the Lakers pounced on it.

And the "Mather Watch" is back on in Oswego. He hasn't suited up this weekend and has only played once in the last several weeks. Highly unusual for the guy that wears the C on his sweater.

His lack of discipline found him on the outside looking in. The lineup they have been going with is playing too well to break up especially with Mather being a non-factor at Morrisville. His replacement Chris Carr has been playing well and he works very hard, something Mather was not doing during that stretch where the Lakers were looking like an also ran.

I heard that his brother got married this weekend, which was why he was not here. Previously he has been dealing with a broken finger or two that he got in the Utica game.

well the hype is soon to begin,Im sure there will be a thread and plenty will be said.......ps Hare with a assist last night.........Brockport on fire sweeps weekend with platty and pots,and in the pots game Cody and finnerty their 2 scores did NOT have a point, so they have others to pick up the slack,add a HOT netminder and who knows what they can do?????

I believe LakerAlum09 is correct on why he wasn't at the games this weekend. Whether he would have played or not if he was there, I don't know. He missed a game or two because of his discipline problems, then was put back in for Utica and got hurt. The way Badham and Carr have been playing lately in his stead I don't really envy Eddie for this weekend. Mather has played in a lot of big games in his career and he is the Captain. He is also due to have a good game. Badham and Carr are less experienced but they have been playing well so it will be a tough decision as to which one of those guys will have to sit and watch Friday.
