Definitely is. I interviewed him many times and he was great. Awesome story from when Roll was in charge. I went to get some footage for a TV package and him, Roll and I were talking. Caddyshack then comes on the campus TV station and we stop everything to watch it. Gosek and Roll are rattling off quotes from the movie like "It's in the hole" and "Nuh Na Nuh Na Nuh Na." It was so funny.

dont what to ruffle any feathers but the Potsdam thread is getting more ink than us.....ok then any news out of the Campus Center yet?? any skating going on?? Someone must have seen the 6'6" new guy, lets get some info here boys, seems like there was more info last yr, has Coach G put out a gag order of sorts??:eek:

Agree. Someone has to have seen the ice sessions which are referred to as "Captains Practices" or "Pink Fluffy Bunnies".

Just an fyi for everyone, Eric Selleck is on the training camp roster, so if you can catch a preseason game, you might see him out there. We'll see.

Perhaps I may be saying nothing of value, but simply from observation, it seems like the vast majority (or heck, maybe even ALL at the moment) of Lakers faithful on here aren't in the campus mainstream connections anymore. Seem to recall a lot more tidbits of info being dropped only a couple years back from the media majors with screen names on here, and I miss those times already. An encouragement message on here, to current Oz students that read the USCHO, and with friends in high media/hockey places - we crave knowledge. Find it and make a screen name already;).

He scored in a preseason game Monday night. He was playing with Skille and I forget who the other person was.

****, why couldn't he have finished his 4 years. It's good to see he's doing well though.

We are fortunate we had him for two. Selleck was a D-I player that somehow slipped through the cracks to D-III.

I think his fighter stigma in juniors made D-1 teams back off. I'd say he's easily the best power forward I've seen play in D3 in the past ten years.

Reading some of the stuff on HF boards from Amerks and Panthers fans, they had no idea how skilled he was until about January of last season. I think he'd be a very good complimentary player on a line with two skilled teammates. Take up ice, drive to the net, work the corners, protect the skilled players. I'd imagine he could put up 30 or so points during a season. Watching some of the Amerks games on tv, it seemed he played with linemates that were a little slow and more defense oriented. Every other shift they got the puck in the defensive zone and would just dump it and automatically go for a line change despite being on the ice for twenty seconds or so.

That's certainly a possibility. Could also have been some NCAA clearinghouse issues maybe.
