Regardless...As long as the NCAA keeps the neutral sites, Oswego won't be hosting the NCAA's anytime soon. They prefer to go to a true neutral site that is not the home of a D-III hockey playing school.

The East is pretty much going to have it in Lake Placid almost every year the East Region hosts from now and on I believe and that's probably a good thing.

Well.....to say they are dinky may be a slight understatement. The problem is compounded when you have 3 visiting teams. So even though the main NCAA event would be at a neutral site, who knows at what point with expansion to 16 teams that the NCAA might alter the format and go to regional quarter finals? At any rate, even as nice as the campus center may appear, there are a few things that could have been included into the design that would have made it absolutely outrageous. Yes, a few more bucks, but I think it would have been well worth the cost.

The Campus Center was the focal point, but not the only point, of the first capital campaign in the 150 yr history of the college. The Oswego College Foundation Board, of which I am a member, led that campaign and will lead the next, which will be less about buildings and infrastructure and more about endowing educational programs. Ongoing capital improvements are a combination of state and local funds, which we review and discuss regularly.

If you have specific recommendations regarding the Campus Center, I would welcome the input at laborrelli@gmail.com:D

Oswego has a basketball team, and they play during hockey season????

anybody else NOT happy to play a p*ss off, Platty team that just got shut-out in 2 games in-a-row?? 2 excellent games against top teams, but they got blanked 2x, I think this will be a 6-5 type game...

This weekend always makes me nervous. No matter how bad Platty's O looked they always rise up against Oswego.

Doesn't matter if they scored zero goals in their last 5 games or 25 goals in their last two games. When two rivals like these get together...the past, the standings, the rankings, recent results, etc...mean little. Both teams bring it...

I wouldn't say either team has been playing as well as they are capable of and I don't think this game could come at a better time for either of them. They bring out the best in each other and a win over your biggest rival should give you a nice boost going forward. The biggest thing both teams need to worry about is Saturday nights games. Platty will take the lead in SUNYAC with a Friday win and Oswego would extend theirs but both have tough opponents on Saturday in Cortland and Potsdam. Their is no room for error because anything less than an A plus effort will find you on the wrong end of the score and behind in the standings.

Potsdam site has live stats and audio listed for tonight...no video.... There has been some talk about testing an away game or two next semester using a Skype hookup - a cooperative WNYO/WTOP effort.....stay tuned.
