Then you may want to speak with your editor, who improperly titled it "SUNYAC Picks: March 2". While you're at it, you can let her know that the link on the main page under the headline "Picks of the Week" is a link to your column announcing the SUNYAC awards.

Regardless, I'm sure you will pick Oswego. It's okay though, if that's the case we will be nice and serve that crow over a hot soft pretzel.

About 4 1/2 hours from the burgh according to mapquest yes? You are headed out way early....we may leave in a bit! The lady wants to check out the campus.

Do you think its a bad idea to wear red all day....lol :eek: :D

You will have some additional travel partners when you hit Hogansburg considering the High School is playing Salmon River. Nobody is going to be left in the North Country

7:00 PM Laker Hockey
7:00 PM NCAA Laker BB or something like that?

Today may be the biggest day in the history of Oswego sports considering there are 3 teams going to battle in playoff tournaments.

I like the line about Hare possibly being the most underrated goalie in D3. Considering people are probably giving him less credit because of the team he has in front of him and the fact he made the 3rd team SUNYAC, I think you're spot on.

As for tonight's game, I think Plattsburgh is going to come out as if they were shot from a cannon. I will be surprised if the Lakers win by more than 1 goal this time around - would love to see a repeat of 2010, though.

Lady Lakers meet the Lady Cardinals @ 5pm at the site of the young programs greatest upset - last year's 1-0 shutout of #1 RIT on their senior night....Lady Cardinals out scored the Lakers 11-0 in their two games back in January...since then the Lakers have been steadily improving...the final season ending series with Elmira were both 4-3 loses that could have gone either way...it would be a huge upset if Oswego could pull off the win....a young team with talent - is this their moment? We shall see....

I'll be there for the first game -- Potsdam vs. RIT. Hoping that upset happens again for another team! Potsdam has been steadily improving also -- going 8-2-2 in their last 12, and of course beating Elmira last week.

Then, as soon as its over (there better not be overtime!), I jump in my MINI Cooper, and shoot up to Oswego.

Just for the heck of it, I went online looking for tickets. I searched for 2 tickets, only SRO came up. I searched for 1 ticket, and there are 2 seats (not together) in section 60 still available. The real question is, how many season ticketholders will show up, with basketball and HS hockey going on at the same time. The CC will be rockin for sure tonight!

I would have to say not many season ticket holders for hockey would go to the basketball game over an Oswego/Plattsburgh SUNYAC final. Maybe a few will go to the HS game if they have kids playing. Going to high school at the Fort over the cozy confines of the Campus center if you have no vested interest in the HS game isn't all that appealing.
