Vettel made some comments a couple of years ago that really turned me off as a fan of F1. His sense of entitlement is 2nd to none. He's like all of the worst aspects of Prost (wanting too have all the advantages all the time, meaning superior car, team favoritism, etc) and a whining little girl simultaneously.

I mean, really, you expect at this level competitors to just LET YOU DRIVE BY? F U!

God, anyone, anyone but this little ***** winning the title would make me happy. I can't stand the thought he could have more titles than Senna someday soon

Well, not quite hopeless, no one was expecting Hamilton to dominate like he did.

I don't even think Hamilton expected to dominate the way he did.

I'm not a Vettel fan either, although I think he has matured a little and isn't quite as arrogant when he loses. In the post race interviews when questioned about going off track while racing Kimi, he acknowledged that it was racing even though I'm sure he thought he was forced off. Showed a little restraint with that comment. Kimi was certainly a fan favorite in the post race interviews, as I think he received the loudest applause.

I would too considering RB is still the cream of the crop and Ferrari is showing signs of not catching RB and falling behind Merc.

both scenario's of either Alonso or Raikkonen at RB would be fantastic as that little puke SV would have a teammate of equal to or greater talent

Since Alonso couldn't deal with Hamilton when he was at McLaren I'm not sure how he thinks he can deal with Vettel. My guess is that Hamilton would be an absolute joy to work with compared to Vettel.

Additionally I thought those rumors we just that and that Alonso's manager was meeting with RB about some young driver he represents and not about Alonso.

The young driver is Carlos Sainz, Jr.

Who knows what that meeting was all about? In the crazy world of F1, which urinal you p*ss at can lead to wild rumors...

nice to see a Mid-Ohio win go to the driver who was allowed to go all out the entire race. And a first for Kimball.

Just saw an interview for RHR and Power- both chose to save fuel thinking that there would be a yellow- and finishing 5th and 4th respectively.

No yellow, and the drivers allowed to go all out win and place. Very nice.

I thought the race was more interesting than I thought it was going to be, seeing as passing is usually a problem there. But with the 2 tyre compounds and the strategy, it was a fun watch. The all out strategy reminded me of a race @ Portland many moons ago where DeFeran had the pole for Walker, drove like a bat out of hell and crushed the fuel conservationists.

I'd be putting my ego aside to try my teamate's set-up in order to be faster, though I understand what works for me may not work for you. Right- i was talking about a few years ago when both showed some flashes, and with their names- talk happened. Realistically, I never really saw the actual speed in either. Odd for Graham- he's doesn't seem like a big headed driver, and the few times he has been fast- it was good. But he's really nowhere anymore. Not too odd for Marco- he had talent, but his ego overtook that, and now look at him.

Thankfully, nobody took it seriously. Or took it as seriously as the danica talk for f1.

Exactly. It was their "name" which caused people to talk them up, but neither of them made any effort (i.e., do some racing in Europe) to pursue F1. Graham did show some brilliance in the lower formulas. Quite frankly, I think his career progression has been hugely disappointing considering what he did in the junior formulas. Marco on the other hand has progressed like I figured he would -- not at all. If his father didn't own a team, he wouldn't have a ride, or at least not a decent one. He got lucky in his Indy 500 debut, and that's been it.

Thankfully, nobody took it seriously. Or took it as seriously as the danica talk for f1.

Don't get me started. Heck, she couldn't even drive a sports car quick enough to make it on Andretti's Honda prototype team when he ran that program.

I agree that Daly is the better driver, but he is "farther" from F1 than Rosenzweig (& especially Rossi) is. Daly does have the name, not sure about how much funding he has, but if he keeps doing decently he will progress. Maybe GP2 for a full season next year.

You second sentence said it all about Rosenzweig. He obvisously has some money as he is progressing slowly through the ranks despite less than great performances.

I still think Rossi has talent and can compete in F1. He's not going to win a WDC or anything, but he could be a solid driver that could compete for GP wins in a decent car. But like you said it's all about money, if he can gather the funds then I think he gets into the Caterham car in another year or two. Otherwise he becomes a "lifer" in the GP2 and then here comes DTM!
