Well, assuming that the engine tune was set to be high enough to win the race but not hurt the engine later this year- a good punishment will be to give him that engine all season. Let him blow it up during a race.

I was pretty interested to hear Christian Horner's radio call, since he's been a major supporter of Sebastian forever. So when he gets on and gives vettel the talk, you know it's not good.

In the end, he'll probably win #4, and in the process have fewer fans.

I will be flabbergasted if that happened! I can't see it happening at all. I would be surprised if Vettel was even given more than a don't do that again talk behind closed doors.

According to Buxton, Ferrari had everything laid out for a pit stop. Maybe they did tell Alonso at the last minute to stay out.

If Alonso did make the call and the team is willing to protect him, I'm okay with that. I just don't know if we will truly know.

I think you are spot on here. My guess is Ferrari is taking the blame for Alonso's screwup.

If you're Horner you have to be very ****ed off. First because Vettel blew you off. Bad enough. Second, now the team is going to have to deal with this public mess for the next three weeks.

I would love to see them punish Vettel but I don't think Horner has the clout within RB to do so even if he wanted to. Vettel is Marko's and Dietrich's golden child and can do no wrong.

I still haven't watched all of the Indycar race, but I finally got past the part where JR Hildebrand ran up and over Power during the yellow. That is inexcusable. JR is shifting up though the gears and then, obvisously not paying attention, runs up and over Power. Indycar should give JR a penalty of some type.

As a Penske/Ferrari fan, seeing Power get nailed after I watched Alonso's disaster was almost more than a guy can take. Then Helio could not seal the deal.

It is amazing that once Power gets stuck in traffic with cars he's faster than, he just can't pass them. I thought he'd carve his way up through the field, but he didn't.

I thought some of the Indy re-starts were really crappy. There were multiple times where the field was no where lined up and they threw the green flag.

True. But, don't forget, Dietrich is also a huge supporter of Webber. He likes him a lot.

I would love to be a fly on the wall for the Red Bull meetings over the next three weeks...

He is? I didn't know that. I always thought Dietrich could care less about Mark and just thought he was a good compliment to Vettel.

I still think a big zippo will happen either internally or in public with regards to any type of discipline to Vettel. They only thing that will come out of this is, at least for now, is a typical team BS that is was "handled internally". WDC are harder to come by than #2 drivers, or team principles.

Dietrich is the one who personally brought Mark into the team.

he raced and won and the Milwaukee Mile, I'd love to see footage of that

I was at that race. One of the most tragic days in motor racing history.

Quite a compelling Indycar race yesterday with the 2 different pit strategies, though Power's was a change on the fly, kind of reminding me of what Braun and Schumi would do in certain situations.

agreed great race. SCott Dixon was on fire, great passes by Charlie Kimball (on Will Power of all people), Justin Wilson et al. this is shaping up to be a great year for Indycar, I sure hope they gain traction with t.v. ratings

I'm looking forward to this as well...however one point of contention: I must comment on this trailer. James Hunt is quoted as saying "the closer you are to death the more alive you feel"...that's just flat-out made up. James vomited nearly every race day out of nerves and fear of the consequences of an accident. fear of death or getting crippled.
