Im not a big fan either but i didnt like the clown jerseys either but those grew on me so maybe these will too.

Agreed. I like the simple grey 3rds we used to have the best. I think they would be sweet as our only style in White/Scarlet/Grey with a simple "Ohio State" with player number underneath. :cool:

Yeah, those crazy striped ones that said "Buckeyes" were just weird. I like these. Plain, simple...I wish they would have gone back to the black pants rather than staying red, however. Too close to Miami.

On the other hand, they also look like a bunch of zeroes. :)

I can tell you this, with there being a home football game the next day, there will be plenty of local establishments offering entertainment pre and post the hockey game.

Not sure if the "O" looks like a zero (as our friend from that school-down-south suggested) or a target. Both, perhaps. :eek:

Coulda been worse (a big Brutus head, a la CBJ's Stinger mascot) on the shoulders.

Still, they beat those striped prison-unis, which hopefully have been retired.

I've always liked the old retro sweaters with "Buckeyes" spelled diagonally across the front.

And, to THEOHIOSTATE's point, the sweater's don't matter. But then, with two more loooonnnnggggg weeks 'til the real season begins what more is there to discuss? (I'll refrain from any Markell-Future commentary.) ;)

What happened to JB's hair? His picture under the title of video coordinator shows a MOP HEAD of hair. And now his new look is BALD EAGLE. :D


I also see that the schedule is starting to fill in on the Media. It shows a few Big Ten Network games. ;)

Home football game on Saturday with Wisconsin, they should travel well, kickoff undetermined. I'd book a room soon. Anything downtown or close to the airport keeps you close, within 10 minutes.

I am staying at the Hyatt Regency Columbus At Greater Columbus Convention Center for a conference. Never been to a game outside the AH or MAAC(no jokes please) other than when I went to the Bean Pot in 91. Looking forward to it.

Also today the Big Ten Network announced it's hockey schedule for this season and OSU will make two appearances.

January 23 @ Michigan State (5 PM start) and February 12 against Alaska in Columbus ( 7 PM start). The network will also telecast the CCHA semi final #2 from the Joe on March 19.

I'm kind of shocked they would not show at least one of the Michigan games. Maybe they will add it.

Pathetic, the number of games should be doubled. A live game should be shown every Friday. Instead we will get WBB and football reruns.

Thanks for the email. The Big Ten Network doesn’t have first TV rights for the CCHA (MSU, UM, OSU), and that game was already taken by another entity.
