Ohio State Buckeyes 2013-14

Re: Ohio State Buckeyes 2013-14

Two big thumbs up to Tessa Bonhomme's agent...assuming she has one. Her capital up here has been continually increasing in the last few years with appearances on TV shows, commercials etc.. Nice to see someone understanding and interested in capitalizing on the opportunity that presented itself with the recognition initially gained from being on Team Canada's roster. She's also very photogenic...might be an easy sell...all the more power to her.

And if she doesn't have an agent, I'm even more impressed.

I am pretty sure she has an agent. I actually think she has gotten to the point where she no longer needs an agent. And I agree, she is definitely photogenic. She is really a nice person, too, very genuine.

Re: Ohio State Buckeyes 2013-14

I would normally say yes, but I am more concerned with picking up three points to stay in 5th place at this point. I would rather go to Duluth than Grand Forks, although we did get a split in Grand Forks earlier this season. In our last trip to Duluth, both games went into shootouts. UMD won Friday's shootout and we won Saturday's shootout. We were able to get out of Duluth in last season's playoffs to advance to the WCHA Final Face-Off, but this is a different year. We have an interesting goalie situation. Lisa Steffes had started every game this (calendar) year. After our 4-1 loss Friday night at Bemidji, Coach Nate Handrahan went back to Chelsea Knapp and she responded with a 3-1 win. Should be interesting this weekend. We are four points ahead of Bemidji so we just need to get three points to stay in 5th place. After going through a rough stretch in November and December (basically the wheels came off ... all four of them), to be in 5th place right now is an accomplishment. Whether we can win a first round series on the road this season remains to be seen, but whoever we end up playing in the first round, we will not be an easy out. Coach Nate has another good recruiting class coming in. Maybe one of these years we can crack the top four and have home ice in the first round.
