Nadine seem to prefer hires of people who have personal experience in playing defense. If you can teach what you learned in the pros prior coaching experience may not be that relevant.

Yeah, but associate head coach? She just wants to keep her iron fist on things. This guy coaching here as his first coaching job seems like a waste of time for him if he as aspirations to coach men.
 
Associate head coach was the only way to get him the money needed to take this job.
It’s just a fake title. NOBODY is an equal or “Associate” in Nadine’s world… just a fake title to fall into athletics budget limitations.

Muzzy is definitely a polarizing coach/individual. Seems you either love her or hate her and nothing in-between. While her style works at OSU I am not sure it will get the same results for Canada's U-18. The reasons I believe this has to do with the limited time with the team and there will be no veterans to pull the newcomers along. Players have to buy into what she is asking and how she asks it. We will see what happens. If she/team do well it might open the door for the next olympics. Yes/No?

I won't name names but it's no secret some of her biggest haters on the forum are parents of former players who have an ax to grind. Whether their issues are legit, that's between her and them.
 
She'll miss maybe two regular season series in January. But she has a new "associate head coach" with no coaching experience. So, it should be OK.
