Ohio State 2024-25 Domination of the Portal Queen!

Thank for the updates. What a great experience and it's only July. Do you know what time they play tomorrow???

Think tomorrow's game is also 12:30 pm EST, then Saturday's is 7:30 am EST. I got to see a little bit of it. It was hard to see the numbers. I am not sure who scored our first goal. According to the thread on facebook, Joy Dunne scored in the third period to give us a 2-1 lead, but the goal was waved off. Neither team scored in overtime, then Sweden got one past us in the shootout. Tried to get into Sweden's livestats but there was nothing there.

Thanks for the information. We're also playing without the full team. 4 players won't be ready to be active till school starts. Hopefully I can catch some of the game tomorrow. GO BUCKS!!!

Looks like we lost in the shootout.
I thought we had a PP goal in the 3rd but apparently I was mistaken.
It was hard to follow with only one camera down low never zooming in and no commentators. We also lost audio early in the 3rd. Still, it was better than the streaming from our barn.
My main concern is we had one of ours helped off the ice injured but I couldn't make out her number.

Start off the year on the wrong foot huh?

No worries here Timothy. We did score what would have been the winning goal but it was disallowed.
What I did find curious that in the shootout we kept trying to deke the goalie and get the puck around her right leg. I can only assume the scouting said she's vulnerable there as we never tried to beat her high side with a hard wrister.
On a positive note we didn't give up a PP goal and except for the PP's Sweden hardly ever had the puck in our end of the ice.
I personally didn't think it was a bad showing for this new group as a team. In fact I think we did exceptionally well playing Sweden's best.

Gotta luv the WI troll Buckeye fans. HATERS. Timothy what did the Badgers do yesterday? What are the Badgers doing today?? And, what are the badgers doing tomorrow???Yup, nothing. Hey, future recruits come to OSU, and you'll travel the world. Go to a cold freezing state, and you won't get to experience international travel, but you will get to experience cheese curds. Sucks to be a badger.

I saw maybe half of the game, and in the comments during, somebody said Maddi Wheeler wasn't on the trip at all, and that Swiderski and Zumwinkel were there but not playing (no reason why was given).

Who is the 4th player "not ready"?

The Clarkson transfer.

The Clarkson transfer.

Unless there's more than one "Clarkson transfer", I included Swiderski in who the guy in the comments said wasn't playing: Wheeler is not on the trip, and Swiderski and Zumwinkel are not playing (no reason given for that).

That's three. You said "four". I was wondering who the fourth was.

Yeah, I had heard we were going to be without some of our kids. Win or lose, this will be good experience for our team, especially the younger players, and will help us when the regular season rolls around! Can't wait! :)

Not sure who got the goals today, but the Buckeyes won this one 3-0. It was 1-0 after the first period. Ohio State got a goal toward the middle of the third period, then added an empty netter. Apologize, could not make out the numbers at that end of the ice on the feed. Nice job by Ohio State in this one. I will take a shutout win against Sweden's National Team! Hopefully, they can carry this momentum into the final game tomorrow. Freshman goaltender Genny Klein got the start in this one and looked impressive, earning the shutout.

That's awesome. Did Mira Jungaker play for OSU or Team Sweeden?

I saw Mira in yesterdays game playing for OSU wearing #14 but has a hard time making out numbers today.
Puck possession was definitely in our favor again.
Faceoff tomorrow for gane 3 at 7:30am eastern.

Nice job Genny Klein from Shattuck-St. Mary's.
