Nice Win tonight. I only caught the last 5 minutes of the game but this team is improving each time out now. Can they get the sweep tomorrow night?

Seems like this team is coming together. Nice to get three wins in a row coming out of the break. Let's see if we can get the sweep tomorrow night!

I agree with this. We had 15 new players this season. With a BIG Ten Title a few years ago, an NCAA Tournament win a season ago, and a Frozen Four appearance in 2018, I think Rohlik has earned the opportunity to rebound next season. If we are this bad again next season, then the athletic department may need to examine the direction of the program and make changes if necessary.
 
There hasn't been anything to talk about on our thread for a long time but sweeping the #4 Badgers was quite the treat! Rather late in the season to start to peak but my only regret this weekend is we didn't get to peak in time to sweep Michigan as well!

They played great team hockey for 120 minutes and probably cost Wisconsin the title unless Ohio State can go up to East Lansing and get a couple points this weekend. The Michigan weekend was about garbage goals and the same mistakes they have made all year. Looking forward to see if they can put 2 weekends in a row together which they havent all year.
 
Well that's three games now in a row we've had the extreme pleasure of knocking off the #4 nationally ranked team in the country. I've been to many of our games over the years at Munn and we've done very well there.
Though it's too little too late to save our season it's always greatly satisfying to beat any Michigan team and the indignation the Spartans must feel about the loss in their own barn to the team at the bottom of the conference and that it was Ohio State too boot!
The way we've finally gelled and come together gives me hope for next season and not be depressed when I renew my season tickets.

Ill take 3 of 4 against the top 2 teams in the league. For shellfish reasons I want them to go to East lansing for the 1st round.

Unless we win the B1G Tournament our season ends with our exit from it. My only satisfaction at this point is to spoil as many of our rivals seasons and potential NCAA seedings as possible!

I had them 6th in the preseason so they are pretty much right where i thought they would be. They have played better hockey since Christmas but havent got the results to show for it until the last 2 weekends. They are stuck as the 7 seed no matter what happens this weekend so just go have fun and get ready for next week and the tournament. Like I said I want to go to the playoff series so I need Wisconsin to win this weekend.

I felt we could have had several more wins under our belt if we could have done a better job of staying out of the penalty box. The most recent example is that 5 minute major last Saturday pretty much handed Michigan State the game.
 
The penalties caught up to them again this weekend. Down to having to win 2 of 3 at Wisconsin to play again the following weekend at State. I am going up for the game on Saturday. Never been to Madison and no perfect time to go then a playoff series.
 
Well I expected a game 3 in this series and now I hope there isnt one. Heading out in the morning to go to game 2 and hopefully see a sweep. They are the first 7 seed to win a game and just the 4th road team to win in the first round of this format. They can be the 3rd road team to win a 3 games series if they can win 1 of the next two games.

As Jimmy Crummy used to say " How about that sports fans!" A great series and win for the Buckeye's to advance. We didn't get hammered on the penalties today and surprisingly when we did get called they didn't allow Wisconsin to go into the diving act like they did in Saturdays game.
We know we can beat Sparty at Munn and would have probably swept them if not for that 5 minute major.
Same scererio applies as before, we can win if we stay out of the box! GO BUCKS!
 
Heck of an effort on the road tonight against the League Champs. They played good hockey since Christmas just didnt get results until the last month. Just took to long for the new guys especially the freshman on defense to adjust to the college game. I am looking forward to next year already. Anyone still want to fire Rohlick!
 
Halliday signed with Ottawa the other day. Was hoping he would come back for a 3rd season but not really surprised to see him go. He led the team in scoring in both of his seasons here, wishing him a great pro career.
