33.

Wish I could add videocasts as that would add a ton, but those don't count here. I know I'll be picking up Salem State this season but aside from that not sure if I'll be adding any. Likely depends on who makes the <s>Frozen Four</s> TBD.

SUNYAC (1)
Potsdam (1978), but I can't remember who they played.

Whoever it was, Potsdam probably got killed. They were pretty bad that year.

Interesting take on this thread that Webb started. Previously, there was the rinks attended thread. This takes it a step further. Which means my list is going to be huge, because there are a lot of teams that are either defunct or went D1.

It may take me awhile to come up with them all. (Are we allowed to include Canadian teams if they played a D3 team?)

Re: Offseason Fun: How Many DII/DIII Teams Have You Seen In Person?

Seen Stout !!!!:D
Actually seen most NCHA teams play & some from the SUNYAC, MIAC & MCHA, but nothing close to the numbers most of you guys have seen.

I figured you'd have quite the list. When typing mine up last night I actually thought to myself: "I bet Jaslow's is going to be enormous" :)

Re: Offseason Fun: How Many DII/DIII Teams Have You Seen In Person?

I have actually only seen 2 games live, I was a healthy scratch the 2nd game of my freshman year and then served a suspension for another about a week later. My list is teams I was fortunate enough to play against in my time:

Plattsburgh
Binghampton
Geneseo
Potsdam
Fredonia
Brockport
Cortland
Elmira
Union
Hobart
RIT
Mercyhurst
Canisius
Babson
Conn College
Scranton
Hamilton
Canton

Babson, Scranton, and Mercyhurst were the only 3 times we were able to leave the State of NY!

Also saw Alaska play Elmira College years ago at the Domes.

Added Scranton to my list. Elmira won the game 20-0 with their third string goalie in and 3rd and 4th liners playing most of the game.

I believe Musa was the name of the EC goaltender that started. He later became the starter but that year he was the third string.

Re: Offseason Fun: How Many DII/DIII Teams Have You Seen In Person?

I figured you'd have quite the list. When typing mine up last night I actually thought to myself: "I bet Jaslow's is going to be enormous" :)

Surprisingly, it isn't that big so far. I'm up to 46 which isn't even the highest on this thread. Though, it is more than you...

I need to go back and look at old Potsdam and RIT programs to remind myself of some of the bygone teams. (So far, I only have two defunct teams on the list -- University of Buffalo and Villanova. I never saw Scranton play -- thank God! -- and I don't believe I caught Binghamton during their brief existence. I know I did not see St. Bonaventure.)

Here's a question -- can I count Army? There was a time when Army played mostly a D3 schedule (after they left the ECAC), and I saw them play Potsdam during that time.

Re: Offseason Fun: How Many DII/DIII Teams Have You Seen In Person?

I'll include those who were D2 or D3 teams when I saw them. I'm at about half of the teams. I've seen all NCHA, all of the MIAC, maybe half of the MCHA, and a little more than a handful of teams from the Eastern Region. Since I don't plan on heading to Duluth for the Thanksgiving Tournament to add Salem State and I don't know that SNC is well positioned to get to the Frozen Four this year, I'm not overly optimistic I'll add to the list this year.

I know I did not see St. Bonaventure.)

How could I forget the Bonnies. They had the worst uniforms ever, somewhat of a cross between a soccer jersey and a motorcycle jersey, mustard in color, yet shiny. The team was about as solid as the sweater.
