After losing last time because they were doing everything except put the ball in the back of the net, I guess they weren't going to take any chances.

Great strike from just outside the top of the box*. The defenders dropped off to watch for a pass to Wambaugh or Morgan and left Lloyd enough room to unleash a rocket.














* hmm.....some of the terminology from men's soccer doesn't always translate the same, eh?

At the end of 3, USA is up on Spain 7-2. They are eight minutes away from a gold medal assuming they can hold this lead, but anything can happen.

Two minutes remain, the USA up on Spain by 4, and with a 30-second shot clock, the game looks fairly out of reach.
