Harry Potter Wizards Unite is out now. I chose Ravenclaw house. 2 of the others will be overfilled with people.

I am truly amazed at how much Rockstar has milked this game for. It still sells for $30, and the online mode was so successful they pretty much scrapped any single player DLC plans. Even GTA6 was shelved until the new consoles hit in 2021.

It is routinely a top 5 game on Twitch, and this week has even topped Fortnite at times to become #1. Take-Two made almost $500M from microtransactions last fiscal year, even five years after release. It is now the highest earning entertainment property in history, closing in on $7 billion. For comparison, Endgame has earned $2.8 billion.

I’m still holding out hope Red Dead Online fails so they come out with a DLC.

No chance. They'll make the online model work. Microtransactions are far too important to the bottom line. If online fails they'll just start work on RDR3 or some new property - or a paid DLC for RDR2. The best chance we have for a free DLC is if RDO is successful and they are able to tie the DLC and RDO and push the sale of RDO's version of Shark cards.

I still haven't played RDO. I'm having way too much fun with story mode. Rockstar/Take-Two wouldn't like me.

Yeah. Micro transactions killed triple A (substantive) DLC for the most part. Witcher 3 was the exception. Actually No Mans Sky did a great job (Like, maybe the best ever) with add on content after their massive fk-up on release.

But these stupid online micros ruined open world games for the most part. At least certain aspects of them. And they aren’t going away anytime soon.

Same. Been too busy to play lately, but still making my way through single player trying to get achievements. Actually have to start the story over at some point to get a couple that I missed the first time around. I didn't want to possibly ruin any part of single player by going online, and from what I've read people aren't big fans of it. That's the only reason I'm holding out hope it may fail and they will go the DLC route.

Unfortunately, GTAO was such a success they went and announced single player developments and then abandoned them.

Microtransactions are also ruining sports games. All of EA is pretty much centered around ultimate team now and buying card packs. I miss when dynasty mode was where all the developments went.

I farked around and won one.

I've dumped about 70 hrs in to Labyrinth of Refrain so far. Im at the end of the main game finally. Just prepping so that i can unlock post game.

Classic NIS game. Grind levels, reincarnate and do it again, and again. Until you are strong enough to beat the various bosses.

Next NFS game finally announced - NFS Heat. Split between day racing and night racing - day racing is sanctioned and earns money, night racing is unsanctioned and earns "rep" (XP) and includes cops.

Big concession from EA: no microtransactions and no <strike>loot boxes</strike> surprise mechanics - there will be a Time Saver Pack that shows all hidden goodies and DLC car packs eventually.

ETA: Engine swaps are in, along with a mode where you can tune your exhaust note. Toyota has pulled licensing from the game for promoting illegal street racing.
