Considering what Microsoft has done lately it is possible that stuffing twenty live squirrels down your pants could be a requirement to buy the new XBox One. So it could be relevant...

Touche.

Beat Dragon's Crown on "normal" difficulty. Took me 18-19 hours. Beating it unlocks "hard" mode, which in turn would unlock "inferno" mode. Interestingly, instead of starting over with the new difficulty, you keep your level and equipment and the game just makes the levels and bosses much harder.

It also institutes level caps for each difficulty (35 Normal, 65 Hard, 99 Inferno). If you join a game on a lower mode your character is respec'd down to that levels cap so you can play.

Quest progress is also maintained, as well as unlocking a bunch of new ones as you move to the next difficulty. Nice change of pace on the NG+.

Atlus makes some great games. I recommend Radiant Historia for the Nintendo DS as well as Persona 3 & 4 for PS2.

I've played some other Atlus games and like them. Although, I never got in to the Persona line.

...those aren't even boobs any more. They have ceased to be boobs, they're more like...giant testicles hanging from her chest.
There are MANY more boobs in the game than just the Sorceress classes oversized melons. About 70% of the artwork you unlock depicts them. Several of the bosses you fight have them promenently displayed, and some of the people you meet in the dungeons also are endowed with boobage. Also, they are mostly undressed. Although you never see nipple.

Wonder if anyone will buy the $1 million copy of Saints Row IV. Complete with Lamborghini, plastic surgery, hotel stay in Dubai, and trip into space.

Sounds like a cheap trip into space.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

All things considered, the value is pretty close for what you pay. Space flight is only around $250K on Richard Branson's 1%er toy.

What constitutes a trip to space? and when is Mr. Branson's ship actually going to go? I've been hearing about his space flight for years. That and plastic surgery are the two least desirable features of the package.

Or am I about to stuff twenty live squirrels in my pants?

I don't think this is the thread for that particular game. Hell, I'm pretty sure that game should never have it's own thread. That being said, neither the XBone or the PS4 has any appeal to me right now. XBone has way too many features tied up behind a ludicrous paywall. I have plenty of 360 games that I could play and I'm not that interested in switching to Sony.

If you have that kind of money to spend on something like that, I'd say you have already gotten/did it all, except the space part. And for that, see the previous post mentioning that part.

Big Ten and Pac 12 join SEC, won't allow names or logos in NCAA Football

Well, individual schools are still signing on, so there will most likely still be a game. Should we be getting ready for the Southeast League and the Midwest 10, sort of like they did with school names in Bill Walsh football?
This week features an exciting match up as the Gainesville Alligators host the Palo Alto Cardinals.

But they don't even have to make up stuff "fake" schools now as long as they still sign on through the CLC. I'm assuming we'll just be left with a giant pool of schools, and that custom conferences feature will come in handy.

In fact, this story says there's over 140 schools signed on, as well as bowl games, so we could see the FCS teams return now. Looks like MSU isn't part of the CLC, so hopefully they sign an independent deal.

This is a lot of effort by the NCAA schools to avoid having to pay their athletes for the use of their name and likeness? dumb.

On a geekier note, I am in the process of downloading the client for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (beta phase 4). Basically, 8+ gb of data for 2 days of play. The game itself comes out on the 27th. Mostly playing because the gf wants to.

It isn't just the likeness. If they acknowledge that the players are entitled to be reimbursed for that, it becomes much harder to justify not paying them outright. And if you pay the football players, you have to pay the hoops players, and the softball players and the volleyball players and on and on...

They need to think outside the box on this. If they start paying every player in every sport, they could probably eliminate Title IX, scholarships, etc., cut those sports that lose money and still rake in billions.

Because the rules are different once you are a professional, which they would be if paid.

Doesn't TIX revolve around institutions that receive federal funding?

It does, but i don't believe anyone is entitled to a paid opportunity (i.e. a job). Otherwise the administration would have to be near 50/50 in gender equity.

Not that this is a conversation for a video game thread.

Why keep the non-revenue sports? Ax them and just have football and maybe basketball.
