So, not off to a great start.

Couple that with the fact that I need 600 MB free just to open the game? JFC, learn to program efficiently.

The pillaging is what you do with the neighboring Springfields. The pancakes was a throw away line.

This had better be good. Family Guy has been blowing simpsons out of the water.

Family Guy is good but I still have the complaint that you can't reach all event goals without paying. At least with the Simpsons I'll get all the rewards through diligent play.

Barbarians are ok. You get to build a castle!

This latest one is going to be a piece of cake to get Takei.

I'm up over 50k and almost all of that seems to have come in the past week.

No clue. But the Stevie bombs are the quickest way.

Set up a spiral fence with a single road tile in the center. Delete all your other roads. Every half hour or so fire up the game and you can easily get 15 Stewies at 15 or 25 blam a pop.

I figured out this AM if you tap an octostewie he will stand still. So you can tap them as they get close together and wait for others to come to that area.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

Yeah, I was doing that until I found out about the spiral fence trick. I felt like such a sucker trying to get more than 8 or 9 a pop.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

This pillaging event is going to be the death of me.

Don't forget this will probably lead right into the Halloween event as well...

I like this Simpsons event. If you play Clash of Clans, a lot of this is good fun, including the title screen.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

I got all 4 alternate Simpsons, and all 3 castles now. I wish the extra walls, etc didn't cost elixir.

Making big castles takes awhile.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

You can buy the walls? When does that happen because mine just says "Upgrade Castle"

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

ok. That's my next step.

Also, in a sad twist, my Family Guy game is crashing whenever I open the Comic Con main page... I can't claim any of the new prizes until they update it... I'm at about 76,000 there.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VII: The 7th Generation Comes To A Close

Once you've upgraded the castle far enough they become available. I think level 10.

Yes, level 10. What I don't like is that if you don't have enough elixir, it shows as an item that's unavailable/ineligible, unlike other stuff that's simply shown as eligible and you get an error when trying to purchase.

What are you guys doing with nerds?

I usually just attack a random town and put one nerd each on everything I attack. If I get cheater 20's I use them right away - doesn't seem like there's any sense in saving them.

I skip to towns where I can attack their castles. I never attack homes.

I use 1 or more depending on if it's nighttime or not. People are less likely to check at night.

I use them all though.
