Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

I think I've decided what I want for my PC. Ultimately I decided I am willing to pay more to start with current hardware and I have the flexibility to do so moneywise.

So I am going to go with the Intel i7 CPU (I don't trust AMD drivers anymore), 16 GB RAM, the Nvidia GTX 590 GPU, a 256GB SSD for my main HDD and a 1TB regular HDD drive as my storage space. Also finally going to upgrade my OS to Windows 7.

Would it have the same HDD space though? I don't really want a new 4GB Xbox that I then have to spend $200+ on for a bigger HDD.

Mine too :(.

Mine three.

Keeping with my tendency to be about 2 years behind the times with video games, I finished my first run through of Dragon Age: Origins last night (as a dwarf warrior). Loved it. Thinking about going directly into another play through of it as a mage...or going to one of the other games sitting in a pile waiting to be played. Assassin's Creed 2, Fallout 3, or more DA:O? Decisions, decisions...

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

Does anybody know of a reliable place to get game emulators? I'm looking to get a Warcraft II emulator because III isn't nearly as fun. I tried running II on my XP machine using the licensed disc, but it craps out when a lot of action hits - so about level three or four. I can't imagine loading it onto my Windows 7 machine would work any better.

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

anyone know if you can watch a sling adapted dish network receiver using a ps3, xbox360, etc?

Re: Official Video Games Thread VI: Somebody set us up the bomb

So its like owning an Apple product, except without all the pompous *** attitude. ;)
pretty much, sounds like my xbox 360 might work for this better...I will have to try that when I'm home this weekend...

Ubisoft Sale week on Steam (Assassins Creed, Il-Sturmovik, etc).
Currently 100 items on sale (of all kinds).

Dungeons might be worth it at $19.99 (-50%)

Identity Theft Protection Offer for PlayStation Network and Qriocity Customers

Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.

As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.

In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.

Got that email today as well. Sony's really working hard to try to make up.

I haven't gotten the email yet; that came across my Twitter feed. I should get the email "within 72 hours."
