Apparently, the Hawks would prefer to have the day off. Out shot 21-4 in the first. :eek:

Agreed. They'd have to step it up just to get to the level of Going through the motions.

We need a fight. Someone needs to beat on that hack Bertuzzi. Guy shoulda been banned for life for his snake shot.

One can only hope this thread is as helpful to the Hawks as a separate thread was for the Wild after their start.

In all honesty though, I don't recall seeing any other regulars that follow the Hawks...

I'm a Blues fan, so I think I'm supposed to hate the Blackhawks on principle. But I'm relatively new to hockey, and therefore don't hate them as much as I hate the Cubs (lifelong Cards fan). I really like what Chicago does with their BlackhawksTV, letting fans get to know the players. I watched some of that while I was trying to learn more about the sport, and became a fan of a bunch of your players-they seem like good guys. I was even rooting for Chicago to win their games at the beginning of the season-but now that the standings are so close and it feels like games are starting to matter more, I'm hoping you lose:p But I still like cheering for the individual players to do well!

Yea, that is sound logic... But then again, you have to define "fan"... Remember that this team was only drawing 12,000-13,000** fans in the mid-2000's.... Most people that are fans today don't have a clue about guys like Eric Daze, Jocelyn Thibault or Alexi Zhamnov :mad:


** This was "Paid" attendance for most games... Actual attendance was probably well under 10,000 on many occasions... A far cry from the sellouts that we see now...
