What a difference 24 hrs make with a team. Last nights team played great team hockey and controlled all aspects of the game. Tonight the score is not an indicator of the game. For the 2 periods I watched they were lucky to lead after 2. I thought freddy had to many odd man rushes in the first period but the hockey gods said no goals on them. We played really sloppy at times and had big troubles clearing it out of our zone. I don't understand how Freddy can be winless from watching the team that I saw tonight. Their PPK was something very impressive to watch and maybe they should play short handed all the time. The pick up of Jackson is huge for the Lakers this young man brings great energy to the team. Also Ragausso's (SP ??) goal was a thing of beauty. It was nice to see some other players get in to the scoring column for they have worked hard all year, ie Waterstreet and Ragausso's goal.

Fredonia is winless in league because they absolutely suck. They didn't really have that many odd man rushes, they could have had a 3 on 1 but the guy with the puck turned around and went the other way. Oswego was not lucky to lead after 2 periods Fredonia plays for the tie every night or at least to not get killed. They were slow as I have seen a team this season and their checking was comically bad, when they managed to actually make contact with a Laker they usually wound up on the ice. Fredonia tries to create chaos and relies on bounces to score goals, you can win some games that way but over the course of the season you need to actually make a few plays to have any sort of decent record.

I guess we saw 2 different games, and I know the person who stood beside me didn't see the game you watched either. To bad I got your dander up but I'm not going to sugar coat a poor performance.

It wasn't that poor of a performance, they made a few mistakes but they cleaned them up pretty well and they made Freddy pay for a few of theirs. Fredonia plays hard but they have no real hockey smarts that is why they don't win games. I don't get some of you guys they sleep through games and you say oooh the goalie stole it then they house a team 7-1 and you talk about poor performances. No wonder all the Norwich fans hate the Oswego fans.

Yes they were sloppy tonight at times but it was a good effort and I love seeing fourteen Lakers on the score sheet! A nice four points picked up this weekend in the SUNYAC...all they need to do is win out! :-)

Didn't catch tonight's game but have to comment on the S and O luxury bus article. You can't make this stuff up. Props go out to the bus driver for many years, Billy Minor. Class act and a great guy for putting up with Laker hockey players for many years. I grabbed the bus microphone on many occasion to do a fashion show at the expense of one assistant coach in 84-85, Rene Blais, who wore a fashionable polyester overcoat the entire season. Must have thought we were nuts. We also stopped at Ponderosa for pre-game meals when we hit the road, and usually somehow managed to snag Equipment Manager Dan Vickery's meal every time. Poor Dan. Bakdraft and I are going to collaborate on a new thread for any and all past hockey players to comment on their experiences. It really was Slapshot without the on ice fights.

agree this couldhave been closer if Freddy had a few player that could finish and Zman had some nice stops as well.We ran around our dzone to much.Agree again with jackson,he plays hard,I would say like Wills plays defense with some grit,Jackson crashes the net with the puck,we have few players that do this,and looks like he is good shape after not playing the first semester,in time he will start putting up pts,I think he going full out and will need to pull it back and relax a litlte and he will get on the score sheet a lot.We blocked a ton of shots tonight,that helped us as well.Agree rags goal was nice,his pass to Hulshof was even better.Zman looks very relaxed and has cute down on a lot of extraneous movement he has had in the past,which seemed to put him out of place at times,lets hope he keeps up the good work.WTOP thanks again for showing up early for the spring semester.

10-4 Stats i know there are other old time oz hockey players who troll this thread,have talked with a few,they should chime in as well,u know who u are.

Lets agree to disagree,I have heard that 1 but makes no sense,anyway,Freddy plays a sloppy game,and hopes the opponent goes along with their script,at times we did, in our dzone mostly, but did connect when we needed,could have been closer if not for zman and a ton of blocked shots,and mostly Freddy inability to finish.Bottom line we took care of business as a team,across the board.

I'm really wondering why some are complaining about a 7-1 win. Oswego used to lose games like this to Fredonia all the time. Frankly, I enjoy it when Oswego pounds Freddy because of the Devils boring style. Maybe the loss to the online school was the slap into reality they needed.

I agree. They made some mistakes but they were cleaned up either by the skaters or by Z. And they potted 7 goals despite Freddy's crazy amount of luck when it comes to blocking shots. I don't know that they have yet found a team identity but they have found a leader in Nick Rivait and if Z can keep up his performance in net they can go far.

Only one complaining. Nice win. I agree with pounding these guys, they clog it up. Annoying for me? Genny.

Winter storm "Juno" predicted to dump more than 2 feet of snow across southeastern Mass from Boston to the Cape starting Monday night and ending Wednesday. Planning to make the Cape to Foxboro drive for the Stonehill game...if they have it. Stonehill playing today and scheduled for Tues, Thurs and Sat this week - 4 games in 7 days? If it's cancelled I don't see Roma in the schedule to try again.....😩

must be all we are getting on the news in about the blizzard that coming in,2 feet expected.In Oswego that is flurries down here near NYC its :eek:

Game tomorrow at Stonehill cancelled...no word on reschedule yet...

UPDATE: the game will not be rescheduled per the Oswego website.
