Re: Official Oswego State 2013-2014 Season Thread - A New Beginning...

Genny got beat pretty bad last night by Adrian, out skated for sure, they are NOT going to be happy come friday night:eek:,I expect them to come out banging, something they should have done last night to slow down Adrian but they didnt.#5 and #55 dmen like to move up on the play and got beaten a few times lastnight, the goalie Haude looked ok and the forwards could not get to many good scoring chances as Adrian kept them outside all night, they have about 3 or 4 very good forwards, after that???????????.....lets hope the zamboni is fixed by then as well.

I am going to say this is a safety commitment from him, if he doesn't get a decent D1 offer he will be at Oswego. His season this year while decent has not been awe inspiring when you look at how he lit it up last year so any D1 interest might be of the Atlantic Hockey variety. Phil Brewer did the same thing, he committed to Oswego but got a last minute offer from Bemidji which he took. In the article he sounds like he might want to be a coach in the future and Eddie has several former players out there coaching at various levels. If he does end up at Oswego he looks like he will be a good addition, to an already crowded blue line.

good point for sure.....I remember Brewer,a top scorer in the league.we all know these d3 comitts are only good when the student athlete shows on campus...D'Oliveria did have a slow start,4 pts in first 10games,probably due to new team.Last 13gp,14pts.

The 3rd and 5th goals were just one's you can't give up if you are Gilbert.

Re: Official Oswego State 2013-2014 Season Thread - A New Beginning...

What gives is that there is NO defense and Gilbert can't stop the puck. Even with terrible defense, you just cannot give up 5 goals in one period.

There must be something wrong with the video. Because the video I was watching showed the Lakers letting in 5 goals in one period. I mean.... seriously? I would not want to be in that locker room between the 2nd and 3rd period.

The below video sums up the entirety of the game and the powerplay so far this year. Something needs to give soon on the powerplay.

Agreed. Hopefully tonight will be a wakeup call for Oswego. Gotta get your game together. I think even if Oswego gets a consolation goal or two, this game was worse than the score said. Oswego got beat on virtually every element of the game. They got outplayed in every important way. And if Oswego can't put together a decent game against Geneseo, how do we think we're going to match up against Platty?
