They have won pretty, they have won ugly...and they have lost ugly. I agree Toto - these are men, not boys now and they have great potential...they can win out and control their destiny, or get some help...either way there will be hockey in March...the question is which cities in New York will it be played...and will they have the privilege of an out of state trip...or two...

A good come from behind character builder win for sure even though it was mville, they play a tough second game as we have seen.An obvious big weekend coming up as Genny is a top 15 team this yr for sure,but as in Oz I think their goalie position is the question mark/weak link,the lakers will have to play some pretty good defense and capitalize on their chances,seems like plenty of shots are blocked/wide of the net.Another nice job by the coaching staff of getting different players in the line-up.As for the rest of the season we will probably see on the ice who the coaching staff will go with the rest of the way,perhaps to get a little more chemistry????? As for btwn the pipes, its a free for all at this point:eek: IMHO. i dont think either netminder has made a VERY strong impression for the #1 spot,i am sure others think different??..ps Platty is off for a week they will be rested and ready to go:eek:

It looks like Titanic is hopefully doing last year and that is playing his best hockey at the end of the season. A really good weekend for him. Why was Gilbert removed and Z put it. Weirdest thing I saw tonight for I was at the RPI Freak out game against Brown. The refs went to the replay to decide if a goal should have counted. Is this going to the replay allowed in DIII if the rink has the video capability??

That might not be a bad thing if the Lakers ended up with a Cadieux like the Cards. That pretty much ended the dance :p

But remember Williams left for U-Mass a year before Cadieux came in to save the day.

I was at the game Friday and Gilbert didn't look very shaky to me. One was a shorthanded 2 on 1, the other he was completely screened by a crowd in front of the net. IMHO Gilbert has been making some spectacular saves. I was on the Z bandwagon, but lately Gilbert has been the go-to man. I'm just glad I don't have to make that decision every game....

Gilbert was shaky Friday. The goals were not his fault but he had a long floater go under his blocker and off the post, his movement in the crease was very nervous (all over the place) and he put a few rebounds into dangerous areas. With that said, he did what was needed to get the win and didn't let in any momentum killing goals. He came back on Saturday and by all accounts looked good in relief. Maybe Eddie should start Z then put Gilbert in after the first whistle because he seems to play better in relief.

It seems to me that Z plays well whenever Oswego scores first. But if we let in a goal first or early, Z sorta breaks down. I'm looking at the Buff State and Elmira games specifically, along with this Morrisville game. Thoughts on this theory? Could it just be freshman jitters?

I really don't know what the deal is with that. He plays great with the lead or when it's tied but if they get behind he tends to dig the hole deeper, but really the same can be said for the rest of the team. The mental part of the game is tough to get a handle on and right now it seems like all the confidence Z had is gone while Gilbert's is starting to come back so it should be an interesting run to the finish.

Hey lets put Jasmin in Friday night vs Genny and REALLY get things going:eek:..unfortunately I knew this was going to be a problem when we started the season with 2 fr. goalies and another with few games played,its what we have and lets hope the coaches can sort it out.

Gilbert got run the 1st game in Genny after giving up 6, but since then he has been better, then not so good, but better recently in relief. The same "hot-cold" thing can be said for Zad. No hot goalie right now, and we could use one the next two weekends.

It has been awful quiet this week? This Geneseo game is the biggest one of the season for this new team. Will they step it up against a strong Genny team? Can the goalies hold on for the win? Should be a great game, and I am really looking forward to watching two strong teams on the ice again!
