I second that. I only spent $24 for ice and a 30 pack of beer. Ice is getting expensive. :confused:

Note: I used up all the ice in the freezer.

Grain Belt Nordeast (to expand on Brent's post): Like GBP's older brother. Darker, more body, a little more bitter and more malty, but very similar-tasting. Worth the cash if you're able to get it, and it has a cool label. :o

I'm gonna give the Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys some credit ;). A little VSOP cognac, served neat, is a fine drink.

I hate you. :p

Couldn't find it when I was home. If any of you find some, please pick it up for me. In return, I could bring some tasty New Glarus when I'm home in May.

Coke shouldn't even touch this. Shame I only have this mini bottle (actually, that's probably a good thing).

Knob Creek is wonderful. I shied away at first because of the price, the name, and the bottle (thinking the name was a cheap marketing ploy), but it is some good stuff/value.


Anyone know what's up with Crown Black? New product, quite pricey.

I like it considerably more than Gentleman Jack. GJ is smoother than a woman's butt and is a little wimpy in the flavor department. I like how the KC has nice bourbon flavor and a good peppery alcohol feel, without burning like hellfire.

KC is manlier. ;)

That, I actually agree with. It has a little burn, but that's the key: a little burn. I love that in a whiskey/bourbon/scotch. Sure, smoothness is awesome, but I want that "oh, there it is" when I have a sip. Just a reminder of what you are drinking. :)

Is it sad when you go into your regular liquor store and the owner tells you to change it up? I always buy the same beer unless I am going out of town, then I buy the good beer like New Glarus.

Note: They can tell when I am going out of town.

Note to TC'ans: Premo Nordeast is on backorder for every store in Plymouth/Mtka area. I checked, and finally asked a few store owners.

The closest date I got to a for-sure delivery is 2 weeks from now. Some said possibly late next week. :eek: They are that backed up.

I really hope they fix that problem.
