Re: Official 2013 Minnesota State University, Mankato Offseason Thread
Let me preface this by apologizing to Mavs fans for usurping your thread for a minute... but this is too good to pass up.
You act as if it was Waterloo's Olympic rink that really drove much of the success rate for kids like Cammy or Kloos. Over half of Cammy's points (48 of 93 points) were on the road this year. Kloos had almost half of his points on the road (42 of 87). Since it is usually tougher to score in an opponent's barn, I'd say they were rather consistent on any size rink (sorry... "truth hurts").
These kids have had critics saying stuff about them due to their size long before this... funny how they continue to defy those comments even when they step up in competition.
Considering a healthy amount of their future college games will continue to be on the big sheet and they've managed to show similar success on regulation rinks, I think they'll be OK. lol
Cammarata and Kloos where what I call "fringe" players. Neither really liked playing in the "inside". Waterloos big sheet help this line allot and supported their style of play. I think the two will struggle to have the same kind of success at the college level and question if they can even play "inside".
