Good news that it was a win. Bad news is that it's the same frustration I'm getting watching the Wild this year. I don't want to watch you outshoot the other team. I want to watch you outscore the other team.

Eerily similar.. I thought the PP looked much better.. UConn played well in their own end and was stingy locking down a lot of good scoring areas.

Williams hasn't practiced all week. Undisclosed injury, but he's on crutches.

That's nothing. I've seen guys go from writhing on the ice in near-death condition to scoring a goal in only one shift. Not to name names, but...

I have heard Leitner hasn't practiced this week due to breaking team rules, I'm still waiting on my line chart to see.

EDIT: Interesting, eh?

@puckato: I'll be posting lines in a sec, but no Matt Leitner tonight for MSU. Sounds like a bad back. Not on trip.

They started 1-5 last year, so don't panic just yet. The lack of leadership on the blue line is glaring so far, and we miss Hayes' ability to finish as well as Lehrke. They need to get a split tonight.

Well, it was nice getting points on the road, but they need to start getting sweeps in conference to meet expectations.

Sounds as though Nelson is done for the year, as he'll be having hip surgery.

But that was 1-5 against 3 of the conference favorites, teams that ended up making the NCAA tournament. And there weren't any injury problems. This is much more worrisome.

I agree, but they're likely gonna have to win the Broadmoor to get into the tournament anyways, so let's see how things shake out in league play for a few more weeks before we start really panicking.
