Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread: Short People Leave Big Shoes to Fill
That already exists. but, in my opinion, is very poorly organized and communicated. Two things frustrate me about the administration of hockey tickets/hockey attendance at Miami: 1) students who do not think they can get in and, therefore, do not go, and, 2) the absence of a good system to redistribute tickets. I also believe and suggested when the new Goggin opened there be Friday or Saturday packages, say a couple of hundred. That would cut down on no shows, reduce the redistribution problem, and shorten the long waiting list for season tickets. What bothers me is that because all the tickets are sold for the whole season and probably will be for some time, IA does not seem very motivated to come up with solutions or be creative. So far their "creativity" has been limited to raising price. Maybe a couple of mediocre seasons will change that - thankfully, it's been a while.
If I may make a suggestion, perhaps it could be set up so any season ticket holders who won't be attending a given game can inform the ticket office and "donate" their tickets back to the University for resale thereby giving other fans the chance to attend and bring in a little extra revenue selling the seats a second time?
