In the voice of the inimitable Harry Carry:

"If you were an Ohio State hockey player, would you hate yourself? I know I would! I'd lather myself in a whole bunch of hot, black tar...and roll around in a bed of feathers! Then I'd drive myself in a horse and buggy right down Main Street for all to see."
Jealous!

Well that was a surprise, no invite for Biggs, but Czarnik is headed to WJC Camp!

Best of luck to him.

Update on The Mighty Mini from Miami (Mr. Miele):

7-13-20 in only 17 games played

Makes me wonder when he might be called up again, especially when the other centers on the NHL affliliate are struggling to score points.

I have tickets to the Coyotes game against CBJ specifically so I can see him, so if he got called up maybe a week before January 13th I'd be a very happy girl.

After watching you play 2 games at the Denver Cup, I find it shocking that Miami is not a top 10 team at worse.

Explain. are you jealous of my genius??? Step in line, my friend. step in line.
Hardly, lol. Although I do not know you I think I can safely say you seem to be the kind of person who has a mirror in every room of their house or is this just the typical Oxford attitude? lol!

HB, I gave you a perfect opportunity to be clever....you failed. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

And they're off!
Hey, I didn't start it, MiamiRedhawks2008 did. But hey, all in good fun, right? That's what a friendly rivalry is all about and sadly it just won't seem that same after the Big Ten conference starts. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go listen to my coach on USCHO LIve explain how to pluck a Redhawk.

On this note, has the columbus alumni chapter established a "Miami Section" for friday's game?

Amusingly when we play there's so much color red in the place it's hard to tell the fans apart at first glance. You guys have always traveled well coming to Columbus and represent your team well. Too bad seats are so hard to come by at Goggin that we can't return the favor.

Indeed, all in good fun.

There is, we probably won't have time to swing by Bdubs to get tickets from them, but you can probably call/email whoever is in charge of it and find out where the section is and buy seats in that area. RHBM posted the link a couple pages ago.

Edit: I lied, they do a pickup at the arena as well, deadline is today.

Couldn't agree more. I was in architecture school there when they built The Goggin. All of my friends said that it should have been at least another 1,500-2,000 seats larger. It might have worked at the current capacity (3,500 combined i believe) if there was room for future expansion. But the way that they designed it, there is no room for more seating....anywhere.

Sad.

"You don't build a church for Easter Sunday"

Goggin is the prefect size. We JUST fill it up for BG/NMU/ect. Sure we could put 5k in there for Michigan/Ohio State/ND - but I'd rather have it be "full" night in and night out. You could make the argument that if there were more student seats it would increase student interest since it would decrease the need for line waiting, but that wouldn't help visiting fans/alumni.
