Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

True, but he was non existant in oxford and has really been dissapointing all year. I know he can break out at anytime but Ill take my chances espcially coming off a knee injury. You can't skate and stamina will be an issue. Lets see Hagelin back up his big mouth calling out Miele...what a monkey.

Hagelin = 17-30--47... Only other player on Michigan with more than 10 goals, and without a broken collarbone = 12-8--20.

Talk about a team without offensive talent. Hagelin is a douchebag

@Buccigross: My Final 4- Ohio State, San Diego St., Kansas and Florida. Frozen Four- BC, Miami, North Dakota, New Hampshire (puck selection show Sun AM)"

My point exactly, capparusso hasn't been a factor all year. We shut down Hagelin in oxford but got to watch out for those little shifty guys lol. I think we match up extremely well.

Looking at the PWR, if Miami and Michigan play eachother in the CCHA title game. They both will be in St. louis, one will be the 1 seed other will be the 2 seed.

Happy greatest day of the year everyone! NCAA basketball tourny starts today, NCAA hockey conf. tournies start today ( all games on tv too!!! ), and St. Patties day....like I said before this is the best weekend of the year.

I saw that too. Of course that assumes we aren't in the same region as "our daddy," BC.

I will raise a glass toward Oxford and Detroit later today! Go RedHawks!

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

CHN says that Andy Miele and Carter Camper were both named as Hobey Baker Finalists. Not completely unexpected but still amazing recognition. Miami is the only school with two Hobey finalists this year. Now let's get two in the Hat Trick!

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

Miels takes home his first of this year's "player of the year honors" for the CCHA, should get another one here in a few weeks...

Yea that would be nice, but I think at this point Carter is a long shot as a hat trick finalist. He started on fire but has been rather cool in the second half. Funny thing is on USCHO they do write ups about each player and what they have done this year. No mention of frattin as a presence in the community or of his GPA lol, like is mentioned with majority of the others.

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

Solid game. Would have been nice if we hadn't taken the foot off the pedal at points, but can't complain about that kind of domination. Get some rest tonight and bring home our first CCHA tourney trophy tomorrow.

Miels now with 69 points on the year.

And the Hirschfeld with 24 ;)

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

Couple fluke goals for ND. Good overall game. Miele, Camper, Smith are just about unstoppable right now 12 game unbeaten streak heading into tomorrow's championship. Opportunity to earn a #1 seed in NCAA tourney.

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

I am sick and tired of seeing Notre Dame players run Reichard. At least four times in today's game. Obviously it's something Jackson coaches. Yet, we're the bad guys. Ah, the Crying Irish.

One more for Hirsch, right? :)

That is a regular season point total, but regardless he has been far from what Miami needed this year. Non existant most of the year, majority of his points in a handful of games.

Like you I am ok with them taking their foot of the gas a little in the second period. Its hard to play at that level for 60 min. That first period was probably the most dominating period they have played all year, definantly made a statement today. They locked up a trip to St. louis today, either as a 1 or 2 seed.

Side note the fact that Jeff Blashill at Western Michigan didn't win coach of the year in the CCHA is the biggest joke I have ever seen. Sure Jackson at notre dame had a nice season but for a guy to take the worst program over the past decade from last to 4th and their first trip to the joe in well over a decade is embarrasing for the conference.

Thanks for that, no one is arguing he isn't a good player but the stats against the bottom half of the conf. notably Mich. Tech speaks for itself. Inch posted those numbers and they are compelling, can't argue he didn't feast on weaker opponents.

Also I notcied in all you posted, you didn't include his arrest record. Character is a part of the hobey as well, may look like a cheap shot at him but it is what it is. He made that bed and now has to lie in it.

Perhaps, but tonight I thought Hirschfeld was one of our best players not named Camper or Miele.

Re: Official 2010-2011 Miami season Thread: 3rd times a charm???

Funny to look at the lineups we came out with in the first game of the year compared to now. Granted, C Mac and Reilly were sat, but wow have things changed.

Tiesling/Camper/Hirsch
Kennedy /Cannone/Mantha
Paulazzo/Miele/Mason
VAIVE/Cook/Vogelhuber

Frattin has 27 goals against TUCs. How many does Miele have?

He has 14 goals 21 assists against TUC's, so about half of his points come against TUC's and half come against none TUC's pretty good split. And to save you from doing any work I will look up frattin's stats for you since you want to make an arguement and can't simply go to www.insidecollegehockey.com and read it for yourself...

Frattin actually only has 24 goals against TUC's and 15 assists for 39 points 4 more than Miele and they played 2 additional games than Miami did this year. More to the matter 12 of his 54 points came in the last 4 games against Michigan tech the worst team in the country, which accounts for 22% of his points. So a quarter of his points have come in the last two weeks against the worst team in the country, any other questions?

He now trails Miele by 15 points good luck....

I'll still take Frattin over Miele.

and you still haven't told me how many goals and points Miele has against TUCs. I know there are a lot of bad teams in the CCHA.
