Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

How much did those end up going for? I remember thinking it would be cool to pick up Saksa's for as cheap as possible, it was ~$200 the last time I ever looked.

Can't remember how much those ones went for, but I know that the other gameworn sweaters they auction in the last weekend of the year are fairly reasonable, starting at $150 I believe. Me and the pops picked up Jonesy's senior year sweater, which should have been the teams first F4 appearance, and VAIVE's #22.

I would drop $150 for one in a heartbeat. Who needs food anyways?

No doubt. i'm tapped out right now, but I could prolly fast for a month to pick it up at $150. I need a Saturday jersey to match my Friday jersey, and I could definitely use losing a few pounds at that.;)

Not guaranteeing a sweater is available for that, I just think thats the starting bid. Obviously some get a lot of bids, others, not so much. Goalies usually get some high numbers because they are the bigger ones generally. I know Miele has been a hot number the past few years. I think we snagged VAIVE's for just over the minimum, and Jonesy's for just over $200.

They certainly have gone up. Starting bids on the fall sweaters (with the big Miami M on the front) were $200, and I believe the lowest winning bid was $265, though I'm not positive. I got #24 Kennedy for $275, so I can't even imagine what Miele, Palmer, Wingels, etc. went for. The Bicentennial throw-backs I'm sure were even higher.

I'm not talking bids in an auction. I'm talking about them actually selling them off of the racks. I believe I purchased mine for $120, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for demand on those jerseys to up the ante to $150 or so.

Don't sell us short, if only the game was 59 minutes and 42 seconds long ;)

Re: Official 2009-2010 Miami season thread part II: Unfinished Business

Just watching the DVR now, and wow. In no way was that a handpass by Wingles at 10:13 of the 3rd. Wingels grabs it, drops it down in front of him, both him and a Michigan player wind up touching the puck, then Miele gets it on the doorstep and they call it. Shenanigans. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't even have had to stay there til midnight :D .

And you can clearly hear the "anti" wooops when Michigan was blowing it on their own powerplays.

Was it just me or did Wingels look pretty shaky in that game? I know he went out for a few shifts against UAH with what they were speculating was a rib injury but came back, anyone know if he is 100%?

Eh he should be close to 100 in about 9 days, plenty of time to shore up some dings, and hopefully get Vinny back on the blue line.

I was wondering about that myself. He was checked into the boards and went down in a heap. It was worrisome because even my friend (not a exceptionally knowledgeable hockey fan) noticed he wasn't hit all that hard. I hope it's just a twinge and just needs some rest.
