Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

For what? They danced in the streets upon his second coming.

If this was Bush, you'd be walking down Pennsylvania Ave with a pitchfork and torch.

And you'd be saying it was no big deal because everyone knew <del>Valerie Plame worked for the CIA</del> that we sold nukes to the Brits.

false. Never liked bush. Never voted for him. I was a big critic of his.

Funny. Nobody liked him or voted for him but he won two elections as President...

Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

ah yes, perfect argument. Because he won, everyone but you voted for him.

I was referring to the fact that many conservatives, on this board and elsewhere, claim that they never voted for the guy. Who (besides Joe) did?

Well, I wasn't old enough to vote in 2000, and in 2004 I voted for Kerry. I think I've voted for one Republican my entire life. The rest have been split between Dems and independents.

Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

I did - twice. Because the alternative was worse.

I didn't, I wouldn't vote for a Repub or a Dem for President, they're both bought and paid for. I can hear all the cries of wasting votes or they'll never win. How we doing anyway?, is anyone winning with these dopes you keep voting for?

Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

I'd rather fund the party with illicit arms sales to one group of thugs fighting another group of thugs with whom I don't agree politically.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing! :)

But remember, Ollie North is a national hero.

I did on the basis of not wanting my vote to count. The best way to do that is always vote R in Minnesota - the state hasn't supported one for president since before I was born.

Then I realized my time was more important than casting meaningless votes, so I stopped voting altogether after 2004.

No matter which side wins, things will go down the toilet. It's just a question of whether they'll be flushed down clockwise or counterclockwise.

I voted for President Bush in 2000, but was unimpressed and did not repeat that mistake in 2004.

Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

no no. we sold out England to the Russians for the treaty. Putin 1 - Obama 0.

The funny thing... the day after, they haven't denied that this occurred instead of going for evasive answers.

edit: the funny things done for Obama to extract a sheet of paper which the Russians won't comply to... this whole thing was for domestic consumption for those who believe in "smart power".

Re: Obama Presidential Thread XIX: Starting a new chapter

I honestly think this is a major foreign policy gaffe. I just don't see how anyone could see it as anything but. This isn't of Bay of Pigs or an invasion of Iraq but it's up there.

Obama has about the same amount of foreign policy tact as Austin Powers. This clown is one continuous facepalm.
