What's funny is that if this is true the ACC will probably try to snag a Big East team to make up for the loss of Maryland. UCONN seems the most likely.

Offhand, would this mythical (or real) rule about half the conference needing a team in a sport to "require" (or not) a Big Ten conference stay at 6 in a Big 14 or 16, or does it jump to 7,8 or 9?

Will Nebraska at Omaha count as a Big Ten team?
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Wisconsin
Minnesota
that's six.
No, Nebraska Omaha is separate from Nebraska Lincoln (main campus). Its like Univ of Michigan Ann Arbor (main campus) and Univ of Michigan Flint.
Exactly. Minnesota Duluth isn't a Big Ten team either, for another example.
Id love to see Duluth apply![]()
ESPN and Denver TV both reporting the Nebraska move.
