Norwich vs SNC: Battle of Champions!!

Re: Norwich vs SNC: Battle of Champions!!

Way to go West! Too bad SNC had to win an extra game to get to the final. Too bad all the folks out East don't get a chance to see the other top Western teams play.

Maybe the West is gaining a lot of ground on the Eastern teams. It appears that way anyway.

Westscout

You mean like that St. Thomas team that got beat by Buffalo State?

You take sore winner to a new level...

Re: Norwich vs SNC: Battle of Champions!!

SNC played their game and did a great job. There is just no other way of putting it. :o I guess I am guilty of ignoring the fact that at this point of the season—there are still handful of other great clubs out there beside mine. No one said it was easy and SNC just reminded me of that...and that these final four clubs deserve to be in LP regardless of where they are seeded, stand in the polls or what part of the country they are from.

Thanks Cadets for a great, great season and with so much talent returning next season we will have another great ride and another go at the title. Good luck SNC going forward in successfully defending your NCAA Div III title. You have a great club.

Congratulations Women Cadets great 4-3 OT win over the Gussies and we all look forward to your final against RIT. Roll on Cadets! Roll on!:)

Don't let it be RIT's fault

I'm not sure whether to label you winner, loser, or anything in between but sore certainly fits in your case. I don't know what your deal has been lately but you have just become nasty with a ton of your posts this season.

Re: Norwich vs SNC: Battle of Champions!!

Excellent defensive scheme tonight, great goaltending, and opportune scoring.
Bring it home tomorrow!!!!

What's dumb about it ? You obviously don't understand how the field is arranged. I''ve followed D3 for as many years as I can remember and follow it quite closely. Oh yeah....aside from playing in this league, participating in this tournament and having friends "inside the smoke-filled room", I have no qualifications to form an opinion???.....You are the rare "sore winner" !!

Re: Norwich vs SNC: Battle of Champions!!

I'm struggling with my natural instinct to drop the gloves and teach you some respect.......but I'm so DUMB I doubt I could find that hockey hotbed of UTAH!!!!!

You thought about that all night, eh?

Also, I completely understand the process of selecting teams for the tournament.

You're right, Utah isn't much of a hockey hotbed. But then again I'm 38 years old and farting around in some beer league is really more your style than mine. I moved here because I work in the ski industry. I mean the skiing here is no good compared to eastern standards of course, but somehow we're able to make due with 12,000' mountains and 600" of snow annually.

Now beat it troll.

Pete explained the game in a nutself. I not sure what Norwich could of done different except crash the net and get in position for rebound goals. SNC seemed to wait for a good matchup/scoring chance and then pounce on Norwich to create the scoring chances. I though SNC played with a lot of confidence behind there outstanding freshman goalie who stoped just about everything. I sure wish the outcome was different but on this day the best team came out on top. I not familar with SNC players but all 4 lines look very storong.

Defensively all four lines are very balanced. While lines three and four aren't 75 point lines ( none of Dlll lines are) theyarent going to hurt the team either.

Also SNC was a lot faster than what I expected. I thought Norwich would have the edge on speed but I am not sure that was the case.

I guess I gave you too much credit, I had you pegged as a 25 year old ski bum !!! Stick to the skiing analysis and let some knowledgable hockey fans post. I came on this thread to congratulate a great team on a great win, not trade barbs with some punk in Utah !! You were the only one whining....AFTER A WIN !!! But thanks for the info on those mountains, that was great stuff!!!

I'm not sure where I was complaining. I just said your post was dumb, which it was. Your ignorance of the level of play in the western region is comical. Since there has been a D3 tourney, I believe a western region team has won it 10 times, eastern region I believe 16 times. If you don't count Middlebury, the east has only won it 8 times. Take that info into your buddies "smoke filled room."

P.S. you're not the only person on this forum who played NCAA D3 hockey.
