Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Nice to hear such positive comments about St. Mike's and Coach DiGiulian. The difference since he has taken over is evident. I also agree the score does not reflect what was a really well played game.

Side note: I know many of you long-time posters know one another, and I wonder, does the NU announcer post here? He has a GREAT voice! Enjoyed listening to him (except when Norwich scored) lol.

Dreamer6 ... thanks for the kind words ... as to the Norwich goal calls ... hey that's why I'm there. :)
Yes I do post here from time to time ... the Purple Knights look to be much improved ... should be a real challenge for the Cadets when they go to Cairns in January.

Damian DiGiulian had a good rep while at UVM and they had some very good teams while he was there. St. Mike's pressure caused some problems for NU and other teams could copy that plan. Didn't see Dean Niezgida or Francois Gatien in the game whom I consider two of NU's top players. NU D seemed to have a off game. Castleton lost to UNE so ECAC E could be interesting this year.

Niezgoda is hurt ... hopefully back for the St. Anselm's/NEC trip or maybe the Primelink.

nice job prez

I appreciate the compliments but I only brought a fellow Oswego Laker alum here. This was entirely a Brady Farkas production. He's done a tremendous job upping our video presence on the website this year.

LOL, PuckVoice.....I guess it wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many of those goal calls! ;) That said, I have to say it was the most enjoyable game against NU we have ever seen! I will say hello next time.....

I'm guessing that, come spring season, he'll be focusing a lot on a certain bat-and-ball sport?

Prez...nice job on the ladies final four article.... Question - did it strike you as odd (Unbelieveable) that the Lake Placid option with the men "never came up"? Really? Discuss.....

It did. But I wasn't going to go at him on it. In hindsight I would have liked to get our AD Tony Mariano or Coach Bolding's voice in there as well as a rep from the NCAA but I've had absolutely no luck ever getting in touch with Jan Gentry.

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Congrats to Matic Marinsek for his first collegiate start, win and shut out for Norwich. Saw very few shots but looked quite capable. I thought the cadets looked a little slow tonight, passing was off, not quite the same intensity as last weeks game against St. Mike's. Maybe because So. Maine didn't play as well as St. Mikes? Despite the slowed down pace and passing, the guys got two break away goals and a beautiful shorty by Colen Mulvey off an excellant pass by Cotnoir. An outstanding play all together. Also, the scoring was spread out by all the lines, except the top line with only the one assist for Cotnior. That is not necessarily bad news, when the opponent is trying to stop the top line and the other three lines make up for it, what more could a team want? Good luck tomorrow night against UNE, remember that they caught Castleton sleeping last week. In my opinion, the Cadets need to continue to play each game like it's a one and done deal, that brings out the best in them. (Yeah, I know it's only the second week of the season, pardon my intensity)!

Interesting to note that Dartmouth, according to the Burlington Free Press, is the only undefeated team in all of Div I, at this point in the early season. Does this mean anything?...Not yet.
