Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

I've never understood the love for the Bruins by Vermonters,(and I was born and brought up in Vermont). If you are west of the Green Mountains, you're closer to New York,(or Montreal), than you are to Boston. Now that I live in the south, I'm for the Cap's.(and Keith)....;-)

I'm from east side, and always been a Canadiens fan (so you know my opinion of the Bruin. A view that was not helped when it appeared to me that the Bruins screwed Keith over.).

However, I rooted for the Bruins when Simonetti played. I did follow the P-Bruins. But now, Go Caps, Go!!!!!!!

It's kind of like the same thing I used to experience when driving through Western Mass and Connecticut on my way to see my girlfriend st the time. You still have Yankees fans when you are closer to the NY border, but then it turns into Red Sox Nation. In Connecticut, I think it's a little more fuzzy until you get to Rhode Island where it's Sox land.

...or for that matter the love of people for the New York Giants instead of the Patriots. I'm headed for the land of the Broncos, Rockies and Avs very soon, some of whom I will adopt, others of whom I won't. In 30+ years of living in New England, I never could like the Red Sox, Bruins, or Celtics. The Patriots are a different story.

You're leaving us?! When is this happening?

As long as you keep your Patriots allegiance, you're welcome here! ;)

I guess we could let him in with just Patriots allegiance but it would be better if he was a Bruins fan also. If we get any more NU fans/posters in Colorado we will have to have an annual meeting.

or DIII Hockey fans in general, we could have a meetup to watch the DIII Frozen Four, I know its a long way off but worth mentioning.

What should we do with that "Prime seat" season ticket?

I'm keeping them. I have friends that will use them for the reg. season (except when I'm here), and I really want them for the playoffs - no sweat, Charlie they will be used (and I already told you that this morning at the "Biscuit" :p)

The D2 schools are on the schedule for next year.

As far as I know there are no plans at this time to kick out the D-II schools if they don't get down to D-III by a certain date anymore...
