Basically talked about how Aucoin came from DIII and if you work hard enough you can do anything, then threw in a reference about Norwich and coach Mike McShane and how he has developed a perennial contender.

Does anyknow if Norwich is going have practice games with a D1 team and Canadian U team like last year.

Thanks prez. The D1 games last year seemed to get the Cadets ready for a high level of play and were much enjoyed by fans. I have my wish list for additions like .everyone else. I am out of the country so I am trying to follow Norwich via the internet.

Norwich played one exhibition game against a Division I school last year in Dartmouth.

The second game was against Trois-Rivieres...which was a Canadian University squad.

Prez don´t most hockey fans cosider Canadian U teams the same as mid level D1.

I don't know what most "hockey fans" consider Canadian U teams as in comparison to US teams.

Matt McCann, who earned little to no playing time at Norwich is playing regularly for Ryerson University if that helps you gauge it.

From what I've heard, the upper echelon of the Canadian U teams like McGill, New Brunswick, Western etc. are on par with lower tier D1 teams.

Trois-Rivieres finished the season as the 7th ranked team in Canada and went 19-7-2. They are one of the better clubs in Canada and I think Norwich honestly played one its best games all year in that scrimmage.

Norwich men's hockey freshman forward Nevin Lawler will be featured on the 6 p.m. WCAX-Channel 3 sports segment tonight. Nevin is the brother of USA women's national team member Erika Lawler, who just recently won a silver medal in Burlington last night at the 2012 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships.

Tune in for the news to see Ashley Chase's story on the Lawlers!
